I thought I'd ask as it's a fiercely debated subject - My veg cab has been on 24/7 till now and I'm wondering which cycle is better 24/0 or 18/6?
Also the germinated seed has sprouted.

I prefer 18/6 over 24/0.
It's a little cheaper to run 18 hours instead of 24. Also, the plants do a lot of growing during lights out. The plant focuses on root growth they look bigger pretty much every time the lights come on.
I can't tell you if it's better or not. I just know it works for me.

Whoop got the all-mix and some smart pot alternatives. Transplanted the plants over to the soil and moved them to the bottom of the cab. I have also got some Shogun CalMag for supplementing growth.
I like the look of the Shogun range, maybe it's just the cool pictures, but I'm thinking of getting their flowering range.

Heyo, so the plants seem to be settling in fine. But I'm having a bit of trouble with heat, the weather is fucking me right good. Its gets cold and the heat gets down to 18c then its hot again and everything is fine. I'm going to get a thermostat cuz they are real cheap and I'm wondering what is going to be the best way to heat up the cab. A tubular heater or a heat mat? Any recommendations?

Plants appear to have dug in and they seem to have grown. The deficiency in rock-lock looks to be correcting itself and the seedling is growing faster than that fucking runt already. Switching on the timer tonight.

I'm gonna water will some calmag tonight. And once a week for the new 4 weeks. Hopefully they will have grown enough after 30 days for 2 of them to be flipped into the 12/12 chamber. Then this shit can get perpetual.

My heat issue isn't letting up. With the fucked up weather it's getting down to 65f when the lights are off. So is the cold weather worst than the benefits of 18/6? If I went back to 24/0 it would cost very little monthly and would eliminate the low temps.
From what I've read, above 60 F is fine for nighttime, and 70-80 F for daytime temps.

Rock-lock is looking like a G son. Really bushing the fuck out. The new guy is continuing to be an achiever. I've put it on 24/0 after much deliberation; it eases my mind a lot. I was wondering about another light cycle that must have been broached before but what about 1 hour intervals in an 18 hour cycle.
'1-5-1-5-1-5-1-5'? What would happen? I'm not gonna try it, ew. but it'd be interesting to find out.
Also how would I refer to a strain similar to LCD as an acronym (replace c with an s)? I know hard drug references are no allowed.

EYO so my phone has broken so no pictures for a bit. but I am pleased to tell you that these bois are doing gr8. Rocklock is now in the flower cycle as well as the runt motherfucker. they look good. Master kush and Cluster bomb are vegging to tough nodey guys looking like strong guys.
rocklock is my favourite plant as the nodes are perfectly equal there are like 12 nodes in a 12cm circle so its great for tha scrog

Still no phone but they're looking great. Now there's a flower box and it's way better for ventilation and light spread, all 4 of the plants are now in there under a scrog.

Okay got a phone, the camera isn't as good but it's not bad. The HPS has the camera all shitty so i'll get some pictures when they arent on but for now these should do. cheers
