My First Grow Experience

LED's can cover a much broader spectrum of light than any CFL , I had originally thought you were talking about those purple cfl aquatic plant lights my fault for not reading the link. LED is the major transmitter we use for IR which cfl will never be capable of. Thats why they will be the future of all lighting including plants and housing/commercial etc. if it was 10$ who cares throw it in there , if it works like a charm ill be ordering one right behind you man.

Hey guys I didnt eant to mess with the plants because they had enough hehehe I decided to go and buy a worm white 25watt flood light same as the one I had before and took of 1 of the cfl lights I had and changed its position in between the plants for better light coverage at lower of the plants. I added an intake fan since its getting warmer inside the grow box due to extra lights that were installed recently. I uploaded pictures to show u guys in case of any good or bad comments please dont hesitate ti say them ur help is well appreciated peace

welcome to Kingoffi I wouldn't recommend it. Normally try to get any pruning done 2 weeks before flower to give the plant a chance to heal.

You should not top a plant in flowering, the plant will not have enough time for vegetative growth to recover from the topping.

hello all long time today im going to add more led flood light to cover more light and to add some plants into my flowerin closet.

my plants sometimes reach for the light like the leaves fold way way up tight almost like an umbrella. It was like that this morning when I woke up and the plant all the way to the right in your pictures looks that way. Was just curious. I have seen it happen to a lot of plants and heard a lot of theories as to why that happens.

what are those theories ?

some people say it means the plant is really happy and that its trying to pull in as much light as possible. I have also heard people say its just a time thing that all their plants look that way before lights out or something. I have come home to see all my plants doing it before and sometimes just one. its really crazy though how much these things can move and grow , they really do tell you a lot. I have just never heard a definitive reason why they do it though.

you can see the middle plant in the backgroud , it had all of its fan leaves pointed strait up it was crazy.
