Hello everyone, This is grow is something for me to screw around with, test my skills at growing, cloning and breeding. I will break down both grows separate in this post but after I will refer to them as the same grow.

Grow 1: Stealth cabinet 2*1*4 feet

What strain is it? We have no idea right now, It's 1 of 6 strains that we planted and only 1 seed came up.
Is it in Veg or Flower stage? Veg stage, Just chilling.
If in Veg... For how long? 1.5 months
Medium: I used the peat moss that came with the stealth grow box, they are then held in Hydroton.
Size of light: 3 125 watt CFL'S
Air flow is created by 2 small computer case fans, intake on bottem and outtake on top
Temp of Room/cab: 72F
PH of res? 6
Any Pests: No
How often are you watering? 1 litter per day(or every 2 days if she doesn't need it) is added to the pot (2 days nutis and 1 day water after 7 days I complete clean the pot and put in fresh water+ nuts at %100. spray with plain water once daily to leaves
Type and strength of ferts used? Technafolra VEGETATIVE stage %100
This plant has had 11 clones taken from it about a week ago and moved into the second grow.

Pictures of course:

Grow 2: tent 2*4*6

What strain is it? Mixed of the unknown clones and some seeds from a buddys grow(sour diesel and purple kush, one of the growers left a male in the crop we didn't want the seeds, but I'll make em work.)
Is it in Veg or Flower stage? Veg stage
If in Veg... For how long? 1 week
Indoor hydro with peatmoss and some clones with no extra medium(2)
Size of light? Switchable 200/400/600 set at 200 for now 24 hours light
Is it aircooled? Yes, cool tube sucking all the air out of tent into a filter
Temp of Room/cab? 73
PH of res? 6ish
Any Pests ? No
How often are you watering? clones sprayed twice daily with rooting hormone, seeds sprayed once daily with water
Type and strength of ferts used? Technafolra VEGETATIVE stage 1/2 strangth

Moar picture, as you can see, I trimmed some of the clones after the picture was taken.

Clones: 11 clones, time stamps.

Seedlings:

The seedlings look like they're doing fine growth day by day. I'm a little worried about the clones, They're turning yellow. I had a bottle of rooting gel(never used), and I opened it to find it empty but I went ahead with the cloning anyways. I'm spraying them with a mix of technafolra products including boost, rooting 66, sugar daddy, and thrive alive a1 green. the yellowing has slowed down, but not stopped. Anyone got any ideas on helping these guys out?

Today I received 2 grams of pure sliver(99.999) for making some CS. now that I've seen how big the 2 grams are I see I have to order more. I want to try my hand at making fem seeds on my mother plant. I want to try just getting the CS on one branch then pollinating the rest of the plant for seeds, Would this work? I've read people online saying you can spray 1 branch with the CS and keep the rest to smoke. I was wondering if the pollen processes takes to long to pollinate the same plant to make seeds. If that's the case I will use two clones to make my seeds. If I'm successful I will need the box to grow a few strains to make seeds from them.

:thanks: for reading

Another round of pictures for the little ones. Yesterday, while I changing my reservoirs I noticed some nice root growth on number 10, I don't see any other showing signs of roots yet but I'm very happy to see this, at leaste now I can harvest my mother plant and get some nice smoke off it.

My mother plant dried out last night, I guess I forgot to check the water level, or she drinking a lot more then she was before. I filled her with plane water for right now. Tomorrow When I add another litter I will add the nutis back into it. She looked so nice before this too. A lesson I guess, watch your water levels better. She really needs a bigger space. I think I have to take 4 more clones from her/top her she is to tall for the box.

as promised, pictures

Hello,

Today I have a few pictures of the clones/seedlings, Seems like so far everything is doing very fine.

My mother plant has become to large for her box (Grown into the light and is now suffering from light damage as seen in pictures) and outlived her purpose, I'm not sure what to do with her now. Anyone have any ideas? cutting/trimming techniques used for making her smaller again? I've thought about topping then flowering. I've also thought about just adding her to the rest of the grow after cloning her a few times.

I had to trim the top once already because everyone on top just burned. I have not sprayed her in a while, would this help keep the tops from dying constantly? She grows with and without being watered by the leaves.

I can also change the res to something wider but shorter giving me more room to grow.

Now this is my frist grow, but my mother plant looks like it's pre-flowering. here are some pics. I was happy to see no balls :)

So i noticed that where i took my old clones from never grew again, just the braces left behind on it seem to have taken over the job as the main kola with 4 of them being massive and growing more branches on them. I assume this is normal, I mean, we lose a leg it doesn't grow back right?

Where i had to top the branch

the old main kola

For the next stage of the grow after I deiced what I want to do with the old mother plant I'm going to take 2 plants 1 of each strain and place them into a the small box and blast them with colloidal sliver to make male pollen. After I have the pollen from the 2 strains 4 plants will be taken out of the main grow and sent to the small box where they will be pollinated by brush, and marked.

2 females turned into male (2 strains of pollen)
4 females (2 strains 2 plants each) 1 plant from each strain will be pollinated by it's own strain and the other plant with the other strains pollen.

in the end I should have 4 strains, 1 of each identical to their originals and 2 mix strains with the same genetics but with different males/female mix properties.

1+1 1+2 2+2 and 2+1

I need to grow a minimum of 1000(Viable) seeds between as many strains I want I'm hoping the cross breeds will come out okay, I have till next outdoor season. Should I delay the time between my (fem)males starting flowering and the females? Ex. start (Fem)males tomorrow and the female in 10 days or both now.

any comments suggestions or advice is welcome! Thanks for reading.

Hello. It's been a while since I posted. Here are some pics, nothing special going on in the main grow.

4 days ago I planted some clones of the seedlings for sexing reasons and some cuttings from the clones I was growing to keep the tops of the plants level. sadly it looks like a few wont make it. I posted about my clones in the FAQ and we came to the conclusion it might have been a heat problem, Now I think it might be over watering.

Had a day where I forgot to raise the lights up and got a little wilting at the top. I also took down some fan leaves to get more light down into the lower parts. I took a plant and cut half the fan leaves off to check the growth of the branches with and without the fan leaves, I don't see a huge difference between the growth.

Has anyone taken away all of their fan leaves before? I read someone who did it. but they did it during or before (Can't find it anymore) the flowering stage, and the plant seem to flower fine.

This is a clone that just didn't do anything and the last time I changed my res it finally looks like it might grow.

PC010133.JPG

just stopping in to see what is up. I got the link from your clone post. I would suggest using only one of those CFL's in that box, clones don't need/can't take intense light. It looks very wet in the RH dome... if they are that wet all the time they will have issues. They need some air. If you mist all the time they are lazy and will absorb moister through their leaves rather than new roots so when you go to bring them out they have a harder time adjusting.

You will get it!

This is a great start to your journal... I am a soil folk so I most likely will have little else to help with.

Good Luck

Hello Buckshot

I checked out your journal and I'm sure you still have plenty to teach me :). As a side note, how do you find growing with LED's? As I get bigger/more plants I want to jump to a nice LED or two. I've heard from reports that the bud comes out more potent, do you find this to be true? How about heat? Stretchering issues?

I took the second light out, lets see if these guys do any better. I hope I can keep the heat up, it's cold here :p

they make heating pads for those trays, it will help them to root faster and so they will be out and growing quicker... that said I clone right into tiny pots of soil with no dome, cups of plain water and sometimes a dome and my temps this time of year are very low.

LED works very well for me. I am testing a couple of new panels from our sponsors in the lighting forum now and you can see the results

I can only ask myself how my product turns out (I know one other MMJ patient and she does not smoke) I tell me it is the finest in the world with the exception of some Thia stick I had many years ago :cheesygrinsmiley:

Hello everyone, Last night I took some time to re-clone the seedlings but this time I've got a seed heating mat for the dome I also lined the walls with Mylar that I had picked up today, so far it looks a little to warm for the clones, it's sitting around 31c and 27-29 would be ideal. I cleaned the dome and trays very well with hot water and bleach in case the last problem had something to do with cleanliness. Last night I left the clones on a shelf above my grow light (4 feet away) the temperature stabled at 27c over night but the humidity dropped very quickly so I gave it 1 spray today sitting at 60. I had planned to install 2 computer case fans on the side but when I sat down to install them I could not find what I was going to use as a power source. for now I'm just going to drill some holes into the side where I will install the fans when I find a new power source.

Sad to say that even before I had the clones inside their new home I saw signs of browning on them I also noticed once again, the clones are just falling over at the bottems(The clones that fall first seem to have too large of holes in the rockwool). These plants do not what to be clones. On the plus side the clones from my unknown mother plant are still going. The rockwool feels just a little dry. This time I gave them a very good soaking in the water and rooting hormone. I am thinking about giving them just a little bit of water with 1/10th strength flower and 1/10th rooting. From reading around it sounds like I might be using to much nutes, I fallowed the bottles and the feeding chart (Always defaulting to the lower amount suggested if the chart and the bottles have different ammounts to use)

Alright so, I looked at the roots on my seedlings and it seems that they have turned a little brown, which to my understanding is caused by light getting into my water so I used some of my extra mylar and covered the open spots on my ------------ system that should keep the light out. I was reading online about the brown roots and it seems like their not a big deal unless they go mushie which is not the case. Just to be safe I talked to the guy at the local hydro store and he suggested Aquasafe, so I picked up a bottle just in case.

Feeding Chart, Used with RO water Ph 4.0 (+/-.3) after mixing the water and nutes the pH is around 6.0(+/-.3) if it is too high or low I've been using GH pH up and down kit with test vial and liquid. sadly my last feed had tap water It was such a pain I'll just keep 10 gallons of RO water sitting around for when I need it. Can't wait for this weeks water change.

Thanks everyone.

Hey hey guys time for another update.

I cloned 6 more times 3 clones of 17 and 3 clones of of 15, the two plants that I would like FEM seeds from. 3 days old on a 24 hour cycle DWC cloning no brown spots no falling clones, so far very good success. They are back in the unit that I had made, with a few changed, without the dome, a lower watt light (3 watt) and I installed a light reflector on the light but upside down so the clones do not get to much light. Here are some pictures of how it looks.

Here is my mother plant 3 weeks into full flower (12/12 light and full strength flowering formula 7 days after changing lights ) She outgrew her little box, sadly I cannot move her to my larger tent yet as my tent grow has only just entered a 12/12 cycle 3 days ago and is not being feed flowering yet. in 4-10 days depending on how they are growing I will do my next res change (Last one was 12 days ago I should change it on the 27th but I want to save a little money on nuits and will change to a 1/2 grow and half flowering formula and they will drink that for 2 weeks then I will change to a full flowering cycle.

Todays update no pictures yet. Dark cycle. Just thought I would come and update everyone on the main grow. So I was updating everyday till I had found the males. Two nights ago I learned that number 14 was a male sadly and had to go. No pictures of 14. Rather then that things are going very well out of my garden. I'm looking at harvesting the seedlings and clones by end of February. the clones I have for seeds will be done just before May, if all goes well I should have 3 sets of seeds, I cannot wait to see how it turns out.

2/6 is pretty poor results but I cannot complain about which plants made it, These two were the strongest of the plants and from when they first poked their little heads out I could tell 15 was the plant I wanted for sure to make seeds from, strong stems, very healthy growth. 17 has been hot on her heels the entire time, so I decide that I would make seeds from both plants.

Hello. everyone, it's almost been a month So here are some pictures. I think everything going well. I got a new PH/PPM/ WATER TEMP meter, but the PPM jumps up then down then up then down and the water temperature jumps from 20F to 70 F I got another water temperature meter and it's around 68F. I have NO luck with these fucking meters, It's already my 3rd copy from the store and his last one. On the plus side the Ph Works and a pH meter I had been waiting for 2 months now finally came in so I double checked the ph prob and it's working strong.

Today is 42 days since the 12/12 light change and 37 days since the flowering formula change over. I will start to watch for signs that they need to be harvested but on average it should take another 3-4 weeks before their ready. A few plants have taken some abuse when I cleaned out the grow area and cleaned the res so it wouldn't shock me if they needed longer to grow and as far as I'm concerned if they need more time I'll let them do their thing till they're ready.

Here are the clones that will become seeds. going to switch them over this week. one will become a male (colloidal sliver) and the rest will be female. I'm hoping that the smallest one will catch up soon.
