New Grower - First Grow - Already Addicted

400 watt hid dimmed to 200 watt because of heat issues in a 2×2×4 grow tent. I just found out my big one plant a is a girl so I'm super happy...second week flowering

Thank you I have a basic starter setup I basically was so excited to grow that I bought so many things but the first was the grow tent it is very small I will be investing in a bigger on it is 2'x2'x4 I have a 400 watt mh/hm I also have several led bulbs and cfl bulbs and a 138 watt led ufo I use in my closet for seedlings. I am using a generic organic soil. I also went a little nuts crazy I have the earth juice collection super thrive cal mag plus liquid mycorrhizae and hobbyist advance nutrients I also have flora micro grow bloom I haven't used those . I am using bag seeds but all are of good strains and I am very excited any help and tips will be appreciated. I will never learn enough..

Quick update flushed plants had to repot my lady roots where coming out top of soil still not sure of sex of my other two but the big ones a lady hoping the other two are also but I know the big one can fill my little tent

Push em until you see the first signs of an issue. They are very resilient and can take quite a bit.

Also, they should be showing signs of sex any day now. Little white hairs for the girls and some balls for the boys. If you get any males, separate them as soon as you can. Looking great, keep it up.

Thank you I am going to try 400 watts on their next light schedule looking for a new tent I want to be able to grow 4 photos in my tent full grow what kind of setup do you suggest?

Going to follow you. Plants are looking fabulous! I think you will need a lot bigger tent for all those plants. We have 2 grows going on now. (Check out nismo12's first and second grows). We have 4 pk plants in flower in a 4'x4'x6' tent. We also have many different strains in our veg tent. It's 2'x2'x4'. That's a good little tent. Would hold 2 plants if plants were in flower. And we have another makeshift home to set up for our first auto which I will be posting a grow in the forum. Seriously, ask us any questions. One of us will be happy to help you out! Quick update the other two plants sex haven't showed pistils are more defined on plant a plants couldn't handle 400 watts but 300 works..pics later.

Well I'm a happy mother of three lady's that are looking good...can't wait to watch the buds grow for the first time..I've been using earth juice nutrients liquid myco cal mag and superthrive...any sugestion on things to do for flowering besides getting a bigger tent lol didn't know they could get so big on my first time growing.

Have you thought about LST? It helps spread the canopy so the lower buds get light too.

Thanks. We do it to our plants early on. Probably after we top them the first time. We have a couple plants restrained to the soil so we can try training that way. If you want to look at our pics for ideas. Look up Nismo12's second grow.

Have you thought about a scrog at all to get a nice even canopy?
