I'm currently doing a grow with 18 seeds I've collected from random bags I've gotten. My question is how do you feel about naming random bag seed? I wanted to give the strains I decide to keep names because 8/10 I wont be growing the same way as the OG grower so it'll display different characteristics plus its a seed so maybe even a different pheno. On the other hand someone probably spent a while breeding and selecting the pheno just for me to come and rename it.

So:​

A - What Can I do to make it my own and rightfully name it? or B - should I just tell the people I share with its just "insert locally used word for good no name weed" ...?!

Since you are not the breeder, just give them numbers. You really don't want to tread on someone's "copyrighted" pedigree.

All you can do at this point is distinguish among Sativa, Indica, and Hybrid, by the leaf structure and the growth pattern.

That's what I did so far label them 1-18. Thanks for your input that's what I will do!
