I did sneak in and grab acouple pics. One of these days I'll be dragging them out for a haircut... I don't believe in heavy defoliation of a plant... Them leaves are there for a reason. No leaf,, no sugars = no biomass and smaller buddage.. Leaves are every bit as important as a strong root system.....
I did grab a pic of the Purple Urkle so Miller can see where she's at.. His is abit further along than mine.

Fixing to go get a GOOD jug for my B-Day present from me to myself... I don't ask Miss J to pick up anything for me.. She don't like the fact I'm drinking period.... Something she'll get over,,, or won't? Oh well.. But I do like that Single Barrel Jack. Too costy to be an everyday thing... 50+$ a jug.... Least the Markers Mark is abit cheaper.... But I will probaly hit a casino on Tuesday night? Have to see how I'm feeling..

But hope all's doing great out there and gardens are green,,, Keepem Green

it snowed today thats my hot toddy or Irish coffee? Either way good to know you like the good stuff man. Single barrel is some great stuff. I'm a cheapo bu nature so I drink black velvet or Canadian mist most times. Every so often I splurge for the Tennessee stuff... my womans like miss j, dont lik me to drink but it is what it is especially when she wants me to stop smoking to try for the next kid... to me its half a dozen to the other or whatever they say. I'll stop smoking but drink more...

Anywho! The garden looks great! No more shiny taco fan leaves tells me the Borg are gone and damn they look good.

Happy birthday my friend and I hope you have a great 30th birthday lmfao! No mine is a week from yesterday.... I'll shoot you a PM about those fabric pots and can also get you some terpinator to try if your interested? I have lgallons chillen in the garage.... it does help the tric production and terps some I feel.

I've heard of it used to increase trichome production but haven't tried it (although, have packed ice around the base of plants to turn them purple/blue) and haven't seen any real scientific data that it works.

Yo Miller man! I know if you cant get cold temps in flower giving them cold/cooler water will help bring out those cool temp colors.

So yes? Idk I always do cold cool water in all of flower.... and cool water holds far more oxygen, which is why hydro growers keep temps low

I think @millertm is referring specifically to flushing with ice. This is supposed to "shock" the plant into producing more resin. I've also heard people who either split or drill holes in the stalk of the plant to do the same thing. There are growers who swear by these techniques, as crazy as they may sound. I haven't tried that either and would need to see a LOT of data before I tried drilling holes in my plants right before harvest! :laugh:

Ohhh. Okay. Yep I know lots that split stalks... I have never I wont even "backbuild" or w.e they call it. I like em au naturale! But inside figure I'd try one of my grape crush this round and see.

I know other who hang plants with the normal light cycle for a couple days to deplete chlorophyll too... I mean idk you grow them right for 4 to 6 months and you shouldn't need any tricks at the end is my honest opinion... but who am I to say with 1 year growing experience lol. Guess it's best to try it all at one point? Or just stick with what works... hard to say for sure. That's why we need official studies not trumped up government nonsense meant to further confuse and mislead us!

I too have heard alot pack some ice around the base to bring down temps.. And it will help purple out a purple strain. Some strains need that 2-3 degree before harvest neede to express their colors.. But as far as rushing a harvest or increasing potency? I can't call it...

One might look up UC Davis agriculture? Man they do a hella right up on lilac terpene production.

Well, I do know that high temps will kill the trichomes so, keeping temps cooler all throughout flower is a good thing. The question is, "does cold temps only help prevent trichome loss, or does it actually increase trichome production?". :hmmmm:

Fast update.. I did go steal acouple pics of afew plants I got going.. First,,, I got one of my last attempt to salvage this strain. She's been washed,,, rewashed,,, and cloned,, then washed again and rewashed afew more times... I do have a cut in the cloner'

Ok and I'm also growing acouple of the Chem variants. Frist off is that Em-Dog. She didn't stretch as much as the Chem-Dog. And buds are stacking closer together than the Chem. Nice plant. Should be an easier plant to master than the Chem for tent growing, for that reason... I do have cuts from both these... These are both from HSO.
