So recently I’ve been having a issue with a few of my plants recently and from forums and different post I think I know what it is but I can’t seem to fix it ! So here’s the basics:
Random seed/ 11 weeks
Outdoor/ full sun 12 hrs
7 gallon fabric pots with Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil .
Fox Farm Nutrient Trio @ 1/2 the recommended strength using feeding chart.
PH currently at 7.5-8
The water is use is 6.5 ph ( city water)
I’m feeding twice a week , I guess I got lucky with my 1st grow because I didn’t have any of these issues, so not sure why know! Please any and all comments welcome!
Thanks

pH of 7.5-8 is high even for soil. I would say some type of lockout
Exactly right @TysonOG ...
@Kvarrasso28, you are not having a tip burning situation due to over fertilization. You are having a potassium deficiency. This is more than tip burning, this is presenting as the entire top of the leaf sucking into itself... it is a classic look of this deficiency.
My recommendation is to stop believing in the bro science folks that are telling you to half feed. If you want a superior grow like FoxFarm can give you, follow their directions and stop this 1/2 strength nonsense. Second, your pH is way way off and this is why you are having the deficiency. What in the world are you doing adjusting to a pH of 7.5-8??? Whomever advised you to do this should be fired immediately. Adjust all fluids hitting that wonderful soil to 6.3 pH. With your description of your water pH and then this wild number that you gave, I suspect that you are doing the pH thing all wrong. Mix your nutes and then adjust the pH immediately before applying them, to 6.3. Your water the next time, should also be adjusted to 6.3 pH.

Thank you Emilya! Like I said I never had this problem in the past! I guess I got lucky! So I have a few questions for you if you don’t mind!!
1) when mixing my nutrients do you mix them by them self or do you mix them all in one container?
I just wanna make sure I’m doing this correctly so I can help my girls
Anyway once there mixed then I check the ph? And depending on the readout I then adjust it with my Ph up /down ?
How do you get a steady ph and maintain it if it gies up and down!!
Thanks again for your help

yes, put your water in a big bucket and then add your nutrients to that and get everything mixed up and ready to go, and then check and adjust the pH. The pH will drift a little bit over time as the minerals in the water react to the nutes, so carefully adjust it to 6.3 and then apply it to the soil. Don't wait. Don't let nute mixes sit and settle out before applying.
