OK, I'm in wk5 in fl and i have thrips,i dont want to spray anything im too worried about the end product. What can i do to get rid of these bastards any suggestions would be awesome.

You are gonna have to spray 'em. Safer Yard & Garden Insecticide is one choice. They will take over if untreated....

Ok sorry for leaving the specs out. I have 1 blue cheese and 1 candy kush under a 400 watt hps, inside a 3 by 3 tent. Im in week 5 in 12/12. Thrips showed up about a week ago. Went to the local hydro store and told me it was ok to spray, im a little skeptic on this, Im afraid that the buds will absorb whatever i spray. So if and when i get rid of em how do i keep them away.
the Safer products can be sprayed up to day of harvest.....

Thrips are gone for now thanks for the help Hogdady. Will be watching closley for them again. Thanks

i understand your concern so close to harvest. try lighting some citronella candles (blow it out and lite it repeatedly near the plant, then leave it lit) then mist the plant and soil in a weak alcohol and soap solution. GL
