Purple Pics

Had to stop early today.
Stacey got hurt at work and came home.
I was up the ladder when she stuck her head in.
I squealed like a little girl.
Almost fell off the ladder.
Wasn’t expecting that.
So I came in early today.
Couple more pics.

Fine looking job Bill, hope Miss Stacey is OK 👌

Beautiful grow room Bill, it looks like you're doing a dam good job. I have the yard to do something like that, but right now with the prices the way they are I am holding off on spending until something breaks in the economy. And I to had a light bulb blow out on me to that almost started my little nursery on fire as well located in my garage. That is a very scary truth to the fact of growing. After you mentioned that I might have to layer something over my 4X8 floor that is fireproof maybe just a sheet of drywall or tin would work? But this is all I have for a growing space right now. I did do something a little different than most folks though, I put four wheels on it so I can wheel it outside for the sunny days during veg stage and save on an electric bill then roll it back in the garage to control it better when I switch it to Flower and use my lights. That part I really do like. I also thought about buying a truck container and trying that route. Anyway, that is a sweet looking grow room my friend. peace out

Wow @Bill284 - came for the build and amazing it is! Staying for the rest and the pictures which are awesome from all...

I'm def going metal roof, thinking about it. Really easy for me source. Price won't change. 50% of homes here are built out of it.

Awesome,

DeeBeeBee
It will be quick and easy and fireproof. :thumb: " metal ceiling "
I have a double layer ice and water shield with rolled shingle roofing.
Then a layer steel roof over that.
2x6 on 16" center for a roof frame and 3/4" aspenite .
R 24 roxul with that foil insulation under that, it's rated r21.
And completely sealed no air gaps anywhere.
R 45 so far in the ceiling.
Should work. Heh3.
Thanks Amigo.
Take care

How in the hell are you holding up your drywall and nailing it? CL🍀
Inch and 5/8 drywall screws.
I marked every stud with a black magic marker when I put up the foil.
So I just have to screw where I marked, if I got the line's right.
Problem was I had all the drywall in there at once.
I had to keep moving it so I could work.
Was a bugger. But it's 3 pieces from being finished.
Hope you had a great turkey day. :high-five:
Take care.

@Bill284
Nice building, built better than most houses.
You mentioned you have not yet put in your floor. I suggest you taper it and put in a floor drain, even if you cap it when not in use. It may save you some mold issues in a tightly sealed room. You can squeegee any floor moisture outside the building and might not need a wet vac. ( you probably already thought of this)
I was going to put a slope and have it taper to the front.
Not sure about the drain, I'll see how the logistics work out.
I don't want too many holes.
I have 2" conduit for the # 8 tech cable coming through the floor to the panel.
Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving.
Take care.

Is that for 5x5 space
how many inches thick ?
just poured some slabs this summer
Unfortunately it's got to cover the 4x4 aswell.
Not sure how deep it will be that widespread.
Maby I'll get another 100 pounds.
What do you think?

4'x4' & 5'X5' ? the 5'x5' x1" will take close to 300 lbs (277lbs or4.62 60lb bags )

Fine looking job Bill, hope Miss Stacey is OK 👌
Thanks Joe, :thanks:
She put her back out.

I didn't have my glasses.
The guy at the depot read the bag for me.
I thought it was short.
Ok then I need another 200 lbs to be on the safe side? :thumb:
Thank Joe, I appreciate the help.
Hope your day went well.
Take care.

Good morning @just starting :ciao:
Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving. :high-five:
The sun during the day and light the rest of the time works great.
I did it all summer.
How are the winter temps where you are?
I love the poly tunnel, great work my friend. :bravo:
Was it one of those halogen bulbs that blew on you?
Mine was led, driver blew up.
Scary stuff, hence the seperate grow room now.
Do you have any pics with the ladies?
Have a great day.
Take care.

Looks to be 1 helluva build outstanding Mr Bill 👍
Thank Amigo. :thanks:
It's getting close to being done.
No time to soon either.
Chilly outside now.
But it's easy to heat though.
Air tight and thick with insulation. :thumb:
I figure every dollar of insulation now will save me $$ in the future.
Hope everything is going well today my friend.
Take care.

Stay safe

Good Morning @DoobieDuck :ciao: hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving.
The build is getting close.:woohoo:
Not a minute too soon either.
We are going to be buried in snow soon, even move.
Good thing I didn't start sooner.

Gosh those bags are heavy! I use wheels now for all that if I get involved. Hopefully not! A tiled floor is easier to keep clean than a cement one.
Good morning Stone, though I answered this but maby not.
I was thinking apoxy paint.
That way no grout lines.
Just a smooth durable surface.
But your 100% right.
Tile would last longer and clean up easily.
Maby a nice green Shag carpet instead, lava lamp and a black light poster.
Now I'm showing my age.
Do you remember Shag?
Talk soon my friend.
Take care.
