Question on LED drivers

I am ordering an HLG 260w qb.
I see it comes with the meanwell HLG-240h driver.
It has a single dimmer screw.
I heard that this is a plastic cheap screw and it has a tendency to strip.
Has anyone installed an external dimmer?
Did it work?

See if they can substitute the HLG-240H-xxB. They have a pigtail where you can connect a 100KΩ potentiometer. Taking the driver apart to replace the potentiometer can be dangerous. You will lose the IPC rating, and the warranty at best. At worst, you can cause a fire.

The only way your going to strip the screws on the A series drivers is if your a careless pile. Lol it's an adjustment screw, not a lug nut.

I have both styles and I far prefer the B series with the external potentiometer hook up.

Rapid LED sells a perfect potentiometer.
Just get the driver with the pigtail and either solder it or use wago connectors.
