Sativa Bubble Hash

Tomorrow I will be attempting my first go at making bubble hash. I was going to wait until I harvested one of my indica dominate plants, but ran out of space in my drying area and had to harvest the last plant today so decided to go the fresh frozen route. If anyone’s got any pro tips for me that’d be awesome or if you just want to tag along for the ride then that’s cool too. I will be using the Lambs Breath strain for this... more for you tomorrow.

Alright guys I’ll just describe what I did and then try to attach the photos in order at the bottom. First off I recommend taking the handles off the buckets it was kind of a P.I.A. to get the bags on the buckets. Lol Started by taking my freshly frozen buds from yesterday’s harvest and snipped em into smaller pieces.. next time I might do that in advance... and layered buds, then ice, then buds, then ice, etc until I was satisfied with the amount in there. I used 3 of those full ziplocks in the picture in total to give you an idea of how much.. then just filled with water until it was a nice slurry and then got to work spinning back and forth like Mr Miagi taught Daniel son. Haha wax on wax off... About 20 min and one frozen hand later I finished the first run.. discarded the first two bags and harvested the rest by scraping the screens off with cold spoons left in the freezer which made it easier for removing the hash.. set out to dry on the 25 micron screen sitting on top of cardboard for a lil while then will move it to parchment paper for longer drying. I did two runs and got a decent amount I’d say, it was a worthwhile experiment... now excited to try some out. :lot-o-toke:

Thanks Bean, ya I just let it dry out in those globs for a few hours then broke it up and let it sit out to dry in a cooler low humidity environment. Just overnight all the higher grades of hash became a nice looking tan/ golden brown color and the lower grades a much darker brown but it all looks and smells very good. I tried some even though it’s not completely dry and it was very potent so I’m more then happy with the results... On a side note the edibles were also some of the most potent I’ve ever had, so pure sativas make for some great butter.:yummy:

Looks great! I’ve found that you only really need a lot of ice in the beginning. When it melts and you have more water than ice is what you want. If it’s hard to turn you have too much ice. Ice is there to drop the temp of the water. It’s the current of the stirring that breaks the trichome heads off. French Cannoli has some awesome workshops that I learned a crap ton about making bubble hash.
