I do the pinch method.

I go about 10-16inches down from the top, squeeze the main stalk between fingers, it might take both hands to compress it. Just be gentle to minimize damage/stress. Once compressed you can gently lay the top over. Sometimes it supports itself, other times I add a support for it. It allows all this lower branches to shoot for the light, creating more, bigger thicker, colas.


I don't do this on every plant, but I do it mainly to keep the canopy even to maximize light.

I bend mine around a cylindrical object like a pen since I've broken way too many stems with just my fingers. I press it down and around the pen in the direction I want the stem to be afterwards.

You should definitely have a back up plan! Always. Luckily that late in flower water demands are lower than normal. But you might be closer to chopping may 10-15th. You dont want to chop early and end up regretting the quality or quantity produced. You got this!

Oh I agree @OGpapa . I tried to time it to end around 1st week of May. The AK Lemon should be done in about 4 weeks. The other one Afghan auto is the one I’m really concerned about.

I just fed both both plants and they are handling it well. AK Lemon is getting fatter while Afghan is slow. I may increase the feed from 4.0 to 4.5 grams next feed. What do you folks think?

Today the feed was upped from 4 grams to. 4.5 grams. I will keep that dosage for a week and if no issues will up it to 5 grams of MegaCrop

I believe that the AK Lemon auto will be done in the next 3-4 weeks. The auto Afghan may be longer. They gotta be done in the next month as I’m going to Florida May 15
