Trimming buds

I know we all get excited on how we trim our beautiful buds. I’m just asking how do you guys like your buds to look like. As for me I want mine trim fine not too much leaves or sticks sticking out. I admire the sparkle of the hairs for sure not grasshopper poop on it that must go. I like the chunky thick buds they are so round. I know people trim their stuff differently then others. I love the smell of harvest time gets you in the mood for the holidays

Not sure all i know is that was my pick of a mates harvest,,all he grew were indica strains or indica dominant but he was growing a dawg strain an he had some old school skunk seeds he was inter breeding,,he was local Dr frankenstien always something new to create ,,not all were success

I trim all my weed the same. It goes out the same way I smoke it. I do all my trimming before drying. I cut out all the sugar leaves I can. Then just trim the rest to the bud level. If it has trichomes on it it can stay. I don't want or like to big of gaps between the buds which cuts down on the size of some colas. I am not going to save lots of stem just to get a little bigger buds. Lolly popping plants keep the smaller buds big enough to matter.

I spent a few days helping a girlfriend trim weed for a dispensary. No way I am ever trimming my buds to that extent. I really don't think it is needed. If a strain has flavor and a good high. A few leaves is not going to hurt it. If it wasn't there to begin with it won't be there no matter how many leaves you take off.

I remember Indica Kush, having huge leaves running all through the flowers covered in trics and resin. Not the bigger fan leaves we normally trim that stick out of the flowers, I mean those normally tight sativa smallish leaves and seed hulls/caylaxes? would be wrapped in big chunky leaves. It didn't look 'good' at all, but you couldn't walk in the house and not smell what you were getting ready for, smelled like SKUNK!
I haven't seen it in over 35 years.

Yep I have seen a few Kush's like that. That is one of the reasons I hate D.J. Shorts genetics so much.

D.J Short might have had the key for flavorful hybrids. He sure screwed the pooch when it came to growth type.

I'm on both sides of the fence on almost all subjects, I believe all sides have value.
And as always, I have opinions abound. So I'm not going to entertain my opinion other than to say I love dj short for being one of every single indoor growers forbearers and ultimately one of the biggest pioneers ( at least of this time period) to the cannabis movement at large.

I'll also say that he was a specialist for indoor grows meaning small plants.
I've seen some plants that originate from him that were massive.

Even indoors.
The strain FLO is the biggest to come to mind though
