When to flip

Hey there im brand new to this forum - Im in my 4th week of veg stage just wondering when should i flip to 12/12 cheers Johnny

If space allows put me in the 6 week camp. But as others have said 4-6 is the typical range.

4-6 weeks for me. I.measure where she's at then multiply it by 3 to get a good idea of my room for flower stretch.

I think people specially new growers don't realize how fast they grow when they flip the lights. I know I sure did on my first grow

Yea, the 3 week stretch can be something to behold or totally lacking. Ya don't know til ya grow them though.

I've flipped at 8 weeks and I've flipped at 4.
I just flipped at just over 8 weeks and I have a clone with it, that I did not want to kill (I'm weak) and did not want to disrupt my "schedule" so left it in there and it's barely had good full leaves for 2 weeks. It will bud fine; it'll be just a small one.
If you know how it will grow after the flip, I'd let it veg until you are at the point where the subsequent growth fills the tent nicely.
Otherwise, the 1/3 suggestion in a previous post is a great rule of thumb.
Personally, if I would want weed 8 weeks or however long the flowering time is from now; I would flip-em. Quantity be damned!

Depends upon a few things. What strain, how much room you have to work with and what size plant you want, are all considerations.
Something like a sativa leaning Sour Diesel will have to be flipped way before something like a small indica will.

I usually switch at 6 months or so. Since I only grow a few plants at a time I get them as big as possible before switching. So far I've never vegged past about 8 or 9 months since i use 5gal pots.
