Will switching from a 400w MH and a hi output cfl affect my seedling??

Hi peeps, Now this may seem stoopid. But i like to try limit my equipments usage. Now during the first couple weeks from when seed sprouts, i usually run just a cfl setup, but this grow im using my 400MH for least half the plants daily light, will switching between cfl and MH affect it s growth like turn it hermi or confuse them?? Any ideas/suggestions appreciated.. CHEERS
