Remote monitoring

I'm looking to be able to monitor a couple of different rooms and an outdoor garden and I'm looking for any suggestions. At the least I'd like to set up a cam in each area and if I could I'd like to monitor temp and humidity. Expandability would be good too.

Probably the most affordable way to go is using a smart phone app that allow you to view multiple webcam or security cams and set up some humidity/temp gauges in the cameras view.

wireless Ethernet / wifi would be required for each space if using webcams
