    Bungling Japanese Customs Gets Missing Drugs!

    A SHOCKED airline passenger has returned a million yen's worth of cannabis that customs staff planted in his bag in a bungled sniffer dog exercise. An officer at Narita International Airport stuffed 142 grams of the drug into the side pocket of a randomly-selected black suitcase coming off an overseas flight so that the animal could detect it.

    "The dog couldn't find it and the officer also forgot which bag he put it in," a customs office spokeswoman said.

    "If by some chance passengers find it in their suitcase, we're asking them to return it."

    Japan Today reports that the passenger discovered a small metal box containing the cannabis tucked in a side compartment of his suitcase when he got to his hotel. Reports indicate that the passenger concerned may have ended up in a country like Indonesia, where drugs found in passenger's luggage are not easily explained. Schapelle Corby's case was mentioned as an example of what could have happened to the surprised traveller.

    The Customs Officer will be re-trained, as well as the dog.

    simply amazing. If it could have just fallen into the hands of a simple medicinal pot smoker. what a shame.

    Would it be reasonable to assume this happens in other countries that may not be so fast to admit they made a mistake? Man.

    This story seems sushi

    How does a small metal box hold over a QP?

    1MY = ~10,000 US$. Since when do OZs go for US$2500

    Inflation is really kicking ass lately

    1 Japanese yen = 0.009685 U.S. dollars. If the QP was compressed, it is quite possible to fit in a small container. I'm a hash smuggler from the good old days, so have some idea of this lol.

    Exactly, 1 million yen is $10,000 US, that's a pretty pricey QP

    Yea, that comes out to $9685.00 That comes out to $68.20/gram. Wow, glad I don't have to buy pot there!!! What a place to deal though. However, they have VERY SERIOUS penalties there for drugs!
