2nd Attempt Using 4 UD Clones

Welcome everybody to grow journal, this is my second attempt at growing these ladies. This time I'm starting from clone, instead of seeds to save some time. These clones were taken roughly at the 3rd week of flowering of my last attempt, so I didn't do any super-cropping or lolly-popping. I have another 4 clones in my veg, that I'm training so I can scrog them, and not waste so much room and light. I have a 4x4 room, with a scrubber, a 400cfm vent fan pulling air through the scrubber, into the light and exiting the tent. I'm hoping this is enough, and I don't have to buy anymore equipment for this room any time soon. I'm using super cools recipe, with some additions of my own, like seabird guano, cow and chicken fertilizers.

I'm using roots organic soil, for the super soil, as well as the clone soil, and the clones love it. Going from the regular soil, into the SS, the ladies GREW, and when transplanted into the larger buckets, I went from cup, to 1 gallon, to 3 gallon, they blew up some more. The total veg from cloning was over 2 months, under 4 t5 cfl lighting. I'm not going to use CO2 this round, but I will use it next time, just because I don't see the point in using it for this small of a grow.

The tomato cages don't heat up, and they're cool to the touch. I was worried about them at first, but they don't seem to be heating up, and causing a problem.

here comes the stretch. looks like a long bud up the middle! yup doing big things here! mind if I prop up and take notes?!
Nope go for it, next week I'm going to take some clones, and finish cleaning up. Luckily there's isn't more than 2 feet of canopy, so the bottom limbs will get the much needed light.

I went in tonight, and looked at my ladies and seen how they were going. The flowers looked good, I sprayed them with some FF flower kiss, and did a little cleaning up.

They all are looking good so far, and I will be using these 4 branches for my clones.

Then I turned my attention to the veg room I have, and I'm worried now. Maybe someone with some more knowledge will help me out, but are these male pods? Did my ladies hermie on me?

I'll try and take better pics tomorrow morning if needed. I didn't see anything like this on my flowering, just in the veg. So if they did turn on me, it's not a waste really, I still have 2 months to clone, and veg before harvest. I like having time for available for things like this.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Here are some better pictures, a buddy of mine is saying that they should be fine, and it's most likely due to the cloning of buds. All the pods are at the base of the limbs, at the stock, and not anywhere else on the limbs. Now that I think about it, they're in veg, and not flower, so you can't really tell yet if they're going to hermie, or not. Am I correct on that one, and I was just scared for no reason?

All the dead leaves, and dirt got cleaned up after I took the pictures, I needed to hurry and take the pics.

I hope everyone has a great weekend, and thanks for the input and advice.

In an auto, you might spot "sex" before flower (pistils) and in veg sometimes you might see the calyx growing.
I see no reason for you to worry here.

The calyx is like in 1st pic...

These are my ladies in veg right now, they were started the same time as the ones in flower and doing great. I topped them the other day so I can have more branches to cover the 4x4. The one picture of all the branches, It's been in the 5 gallon smart pot longer than the other ones. Initially I was going to flower 5 plants this round, but decided to only flower 4, just in case something happened, I wouldn't lose so many plants. I still have 2 more in 1 gallon fabric pots, they're both slow starters, and didn't grow as well as the others. I'm waiting for my supersoil mix to finish, before I put them in 5 gallon pots.

Thank you all, and have a great day, any suggestions is always excepted, and encouraged.

My flowering ladies looked to be doing good, they're in their 3rd week of flowering, with no signs of anything wrong to me. They seem to love the soil, but talking with Dubnation, I might need to add more calcium to mine, or it might be good to go since I already added more calcium. We will see after I harvest.

It's awesome cloning a bud that went into flowering, and watch it sprout so many limbs, without the need of topping. I'm still topping them, so I'll have even more chutes for the scrog I want to do. If you see anything wrong, please let me know, or have anything that I can use to help, it's always appreciated. Oh, one more thing, here's the soil recipe I'm using, if I need to adjust anything, let me. Nameste.

Roots Organics 707 1 bag (3cub.ft)
Organic Worm castings 3.75 lbs
Steamed Bone meal .75 lbs
Seabird Guano (My Addition) .75 lbs
Bat Guano .75 lbs
Blood meal .75 lbs
Rock Phoshate 0.25 cup
Epson salts 0.25 cup
Sweet Lime ( Dolimite) 0.25 cup
Azomite ( Trace Elements) 0.25 cup
Powdered Humic Acid 1 tsp
Oyster Shell (My addition) 0.75 lb
Chicken manure (My Addition) 1/4 bag
Cow Manure (My Addition) 1/4 bag
Makes roughly 32 gallons of nutrient rich soil.

:thumb: flowering nicely
Thanks, I'm allowing the soil to dry completely before I water them again. I'll have new photos tonight when they wake up, but the pestuls are looking nice, and hopefully at the beginning of March I'll harvest.

My ladies are growing nice, there still drying out, and I had a buddy come over to look at them. Two eyes are always better than one, and what I was thinking want too far off, I did have spider mites. Hopefully I caught them in time, and I can get rid of them, with out harm to my girls. I'm lowering the temp in the room, and sorted then with some neam oil concoction I made, and tonight I'll vacuum then off as well. Or what ever is left.

My ladies are flowing nicely, I believe I got rid of the mites, or they're not being active. I really hope I killed all those bastard's. I took a clone from one of the ladies, none of my veg look like her, so I wanted to make sure I got her genetics. I love the way she grew and is flowing. She's really tight, and green, and HEALTHY.

Am I the only one that uses a Ziploc bags to clone? I only have the one, and it seems to do the trick, this is how I cloned the ones flowing right now.

Ending my 5th week of flower, and besides the little bit of mites I found, so far, so good. The weather has been raining, and warning up here, so keeping my rooms cool had been a pain, but I'm doing it. I'm looking at another 4-5 weeks before I can harvest. My ladies in veg are doing well, I can start to flower anytime, Which I need to do because I'm running out of room lol. The clone I took is doing well, trying to keep it in 24 hours of light, but she doesn't look like she's dying. That is all, thank you for looking, and if you have any comments, let us know.

A little up date, they're still moving a long, another 3-4 weeks. I think they took a couple of weeks to transition after the flip, so they should be done flowing around the 6th of March, or the following week.

I've been doing more research for the calcium problem, and the oyster is really good, but it's better for pH balance. The oysters are a very good source of calcium, but there a slow release, and better for pH balance in our organic soil. The ladies might still get the extra Cal they need from it, if they don't need a lot.

If you need a lot more calcium, dried up and crushed egg shells are the best.

Two days away from harvest, and these fuckers comeback. Other than mites, which hopefully they won't hurt the harvest, everything else had been going great. They're sticky, flagrant, and ready to go.

My cat's destroyed my clone I started a few weeks back, so I'm starting a couple more, plus I started a couple of new seeds of the AK47. I want to try and grow a new crop, and see if I can't produce a better quality plant.

Some are bigger than others, but it's that time to harvest my ladies, and make room for the new rotation. I'm going to try and dry them in my closet with a fan in there (not blowing on them), hopefully they don't mood or dry out too fast.

I cleaned, and rearranged my tent (moved the filter to the outside), and set up my screen. My 2 plants have consumed the majority of my 4x4, I just hope I did it correctly.
