2 Bagseed / 1 Cheese 2 x 65 Watt CFL's

hello this is me first grow!, hope it turns out well!!
need a bit of advice on how they looking,
seem pretty droopy to me

well it all started on the 15/04/10
when i sowed 3 seeds. they all poped. and are now looking like this
under 18/6 light since they was planted

i have not used NO nutes as of yet, not sure if i will, but if needed its something i will do,

well here they are tell me what u think

i will be updating about once every week, if time allows

have done a bit of digging about, and THINK it may be signs of over watering,
could somone please confirm?

they seem to be getting worse still,
i held back on the water, and still looking teribal even after a drink,

dont wanna scrap these plants, this might help
Strain - 2 bagseed 1 cheese,
# of Plants - 3
Grow Type - Soil
Grow Stage - Veg
Bucket Size - small peat cups atm
Lights - (1) Red 65W (1) Blue 65w CFLS
Nutrients - none atm,
Medium - miracle grow potting soil
PPM - ?
PH - ?
RH - 40-44 lights on - 47-55 lights off
Room Temperature -68-69 lights off to 76-84 lights on
Solution Temperature -Room temp

im going to get a ph tester this sarfo,
how would i measure the water? is it run off aswell as what i feed,

hmm, fraid i wont be much help.
i started my first grow a couple weeks ago.
I have heard that miracle grow soil isn't very good soil to use.
i don't really remember why sadly.

and i think you test the ph of the run off water.
maybe someone with more knowledge than me will see this and help.
wouldn't want your first grow to end badly.

What happened?

If I may give you a few tips, lose the colored CFL bulbs and the soil you are using...

Try to find seedling soil! For fertilizer 0-0-0 or 1-1-1 is what you need for seedling and small plants any numbers bigger then those stay away from for now.

On a side note do you research at home on the web, then go to a garden center as not to look "shady" while there... It's spring those places are busy right now, great time to blend in...

well im not 100% sure,

after the pictures above, i left em to dry a bit,
then on the next watering i added some egg shell! and they perked right up!
but i think it was a bit to late for em to regain what they needed!

yes have been looking for some seedling and cuttings compost!,
but all i seem to be able to sort is, MG seeds and cuttings,!!
if it is the only stuff about, can i flush it a few times say 4-5 tmes before seedlings go into the soil!> ??

and what ya mean about the cfls? i got one blue and one red spectrum,
not colored, both same on outside can see the diff when u turn them on tho!,
they where from a grow shop?

Sorry man I thought you had a blue bulb and a red bulb the sell them here as party lights... So you have a mixed kelvin light set up great! Never mind on the bulbs... LOL

If you need to use MG it should say on the bag if it's a 0-0-0 or a 1-1-1 that will be fine to use. And add 33% perlite to the soil mix, so it wont get too compacted over time with watering.

As for watering take the pot you intend to use and fill it with your soil/perlite mix no plant yet, water it feel how heavy it is, now feel one with no water. That's when you should water when the pot feels lite again. Also look down the side of the pot and soil mix you don't want it so dry the soil starts pulling away from the side of the pot...

My soil plant I water once every 3 days. Hope that helps

haha, i thought i had been shafted on me lights then lol!!,

ye i think that was my main problem not enough Perle in my mix!, so they weren't getting air enough, they was VERY slow growing wen they was alive,


i think im gonna flush the soil a few times before potting, will have one last atemp at finding a fairly good sized seed mix, the only good ones that are like that are 80+L! and i aint got a car atm so they out the Q,!

such a shame these went to shit!! of course was my fault!!,
ahh well live and learn! soon be up and running again!!

am looking at the idear of a HID securtiy light to replace my clfs,
need to decide soon then i will make the changes before my nxt start!!

If you need help on the security light shoot me a pm, I have one I did and used a old computer fan and it's housing to make a remote ballast... I can shoot you pics and a wiring diagram... They work well and cool running compared to some lights... on round 2 you need help shoot me a pm...
