It's all good though? Is the 8 to 9 weeks a guideline and can chop 2 weeks off of that? Seems like a lot to me to be off.

Are you looking at your hairs or trichs to determine when to harvest? I'm confused. I always thought you looked at the trichomes and the clear/cloudy/amber colored trichs determine the type of high and when to harvest. Am I missing something?

Yeah you do look at the trichomes. I'm just getting nervous since the hairs out of nowhere turned amber. But the Mrs. Sent me a picture of the trichomes and they are not amber yet. So I got all worked up for nothing. But pictures after lights out today!

Great grow Nismo and good call on back building. I did it on mine and had two similar buds for control. One was slightly chunkier at the start so I left that one alone. The slightly skinnier one had some back building and now with a week to go this one is far chunkier than the one that was left alone.
I'm sold in the idea and will do it on all buds from now on. I did mine at week 5 of plants that the breeder claims 8 weeks from flower to harvest. I think it is supposed to be done just after the mid way point. How long since flower are your back building candidates and what's the breeder's claims on flowering time?

Crop king seeds says 8 to 9 weeks. So tonight, we shall do the backbuilding. I got nervous yesterday otherwise it would have been done already. But have heard nothing but good things from doing it.

A pleasure to meet you and great name
I'm very new to this so don't have much basis for comparison, but early bud tips gave a great motivational high but very little stone on the Painkiller XL. Was tricky to sleep on that one (75% sativa, high CBD and only 8% THC)
The Blueberry blew my head off, uncomfortably so. Those tips were my first smoke in over 5 years so I have a very low tolerance.

I plan on doing something similar Nismo. I might just do what HK did with the dry ice extraction. But, Ive wanted some bubble hash ever since I got back from Amsterdam.
I'd like to know about the dry ice method. Do you have a link to share? . .

Once again looking good mate don't get on here as much lately but always am sure to check you out as our grows have ran pretty much side by side! I've had a few yellowing fan leaves as you know I'm one week ahead in flowering. I'm having a look into it now ... Bud development looks good just seems to early to be nutrient drain to me so I'm not certain why there changing colour.
Keep it up and I best go check out your second grow lol

Well here we are with today's update.
Earlier for some reason I saw the hairs turn amber and freaked out. Then I was reminded that it is the trichomes not the hairs. (Anxious father) so they are doing good other than the fact that it has been hot here and we need to figure out better cooling or exhaust.
On another note, we did some backbuilding by cutting off the tip of the bud and a couple hairs. Have heard nothing but wonderful things from it. And if it does nothing, we are not really out anything. Maybe a gram. I've smoked more than that tonight haha. Oh speaking of which, in a couple days we will have some samples.
