Nismo's 2nd Grow - 5 Strains - 3 x 600 Watt HIDs - Topping - LST & Fluxing

re: Nismo's 2nd Grow - 5 Strains - 3 x 600 Watt HIDs - Topping - LST & Fluxing

Indeed. Ballast is at 75%. Just thought it would be easier if I did the math

Understandable. My lumatek ballast is like this it's the only ones that don't do the percentages. However you don't really want to use that feature unless you change the bulb out. You alter the light spectrum.

My buddy and I got In a big argument over this and I was with you like no it doesn't and I ended up calling hortilux directly who told me this and their website has a video on it.

Well here we go with these fine ladies. The transplant helped them all out and they have exploded with new growth. Have been trying to tie them down but they pull out the stakes. So make have to think up a better way or just keep restaking them.

Here is Bonnie the OG Kush. She had a rough start but now is coming to life. I guess I fimed her when I tried to top. Oh well, we shall make the best of it.

Here is Ruth, the CKS Super Silver Haze. She is trying to be a tall skinny girl but we can't have that now can we?

Sparkle, the star of the bunch, Dinafem cheese. She hasn't slowed down one bit. She is going to be a big girl. Defoliating will be a must constant tying down.

Here is little miss Hope the Heavyweight fruit punch. She is the shortest of the bunch even though she is a sativa but looks more indica to me. She will turn into a beautiful woman soon enough.

And that brings us to Camille the pineapple chunk. The first seed didn't want to take in the soil so she is the 2nd go and is 12 days younger from sprout. She was topped last night and will be getting Light Addicts "fluxing" treatment. She will be a monster I'm hoping. She was slow going but growth in the last week after the transplant was extremely noticeable.

I veg 3 weeks get 200g plants (harvest dry). Any longer and plants get to big for my 4x4. 1st grow veg'ed for 6 weeks and flipped. Had to super crop and raise light to top of tent. Lots of lower sites stayed immuture. But if your LST them it should be fine.

Cheers

re: Nismo's 2nd Grow - 5 Strains - 3 x 600 Watt HIDs - Topping - LST & Fluxing

Today was a very productive day. We had a little extra time so we made our grow room more comfortable for us while we are in there tending to the girls. Put in a much needed table when tending to the girls so now we don't have to be kneeled down at the tent. I know it sounds minor, but it sure did help out the knees today! We also got the seedling box setup with the new 165w LED from twilight LED! Very simple setup using a Uhaul Clothing wardrobe box (24"x24"x48"). Temps steady are steady at 80 and RH is 55%! Hope to have some good luck with it. It'll make our perpetual grow more seamless. Now we just have to think up an idea for drying and curing. We have seen some pretty good ideas, just wondering how everybody else does it, if not in the same tent you flower.

Now onto the girls. We did a more "permanent" form of LST by tying some string around the branches with slip knots to spread everything out instead of staking. A couple days of having to put the stakes back in since the girls pulled them out was enough lol. We also did some defoliating. On our first grow I was scared to defoliate thinking they would suffer and it would stress them out. But now we have gone through a ton of awesome journals that have been defoliated down to bare bones. So we took off as much as we could opening everything up. So without further ado....

That's it for today, in a few days they will be in the need for some more defoliating. Until then...stay classy San Diego. :surf:
