20 Strains from Seed to Harvest

So the end of week two of veg is here and one more week hoping to have the height to be able to clone and will defoliate at this time too you can really see the difference in growth of day 7 compared to day 14

:welcome:

Welcome back added 6 more to the middle of the canopy that are a week behind but some really nice varieties to add to the mix, looking forward to Friday if they have the height I would like to clone them and if not and even if I am still going to hit them with a heavy defoliation as I am looking to slow the growth for a week but create a much larger and robust plant. The ones that make it through the final grading process will be mother plants so will keep this in mind when working with these 34 beauties. I must admit that since I have back up seeds to almost all of these varieties it has become more and more tempting to just flip it to 12 n 12 and start the new seeds behind it but I keep telling myself to be patient as this grow is going to be expanding shortly. Would have gotten another tent this week but computer craped out so had to buy a new one so 500$ down the drain that should have gone to my grow. Damn real life slowing down my grow.

Ya the growth amazes me everyday right now I am trying to see how long I can go without looking at them to just be able to freak myself out it has been 24 hours with my light dropped down to 10" above the canopy as opposed to the 16" I was at for week 1 and 2 of veg. Also gave them all a good drink of nutes with Sensi Grow A & B going to try to wait till atleast day 2 of no looking but its killing me now as this is the time I have spent with them for the past month I miss my babies. Oh well I could clean or smoke a bowl we will see which wins in a sec

Day 15 of Veg for all but the six small ones and for them day 7 of Veg
I gave them all 2 weeks from breaking ground in the "seedling" and then moved them to "Veg". If you go back and read you will know that even though all of these seeds were started in the same 7 - 9 days of germination excluding the second round which where all started at the same time. So some of the first round are a few days older but for ease I just called round one started on last day of the last # of seeds so although they have a up to 6 day differential they have all stayed about the same size. To be honest I expected more variation in the plants themselves but they have all grown about the same.

There are 4 in the row from where I am taking the picture from but unfortunately you cant see them but as you can tell 34 plants + a humidifier "FILLS" a 4x4 tent and these are 2.5 gallon pots that I am using so decent for a medium sized plant. I don't think I would fill it this full to flower with the outer row doesn't get as much light as the second row in using this 600 but I have been thinking of adding single t5s down each corner to really make the light pop. But honestly with a slow grow like this having a nice source of light is all that is needed. Still lots to come and a nice photo documentary of the defoliation with 34 subjects to come even sooner.

Ok well I gave it 48 hours without looking and damn it was like Christmas or just a really nice surprise

So busy day in the garden sorted out the 2 auto flowering plants plus some of the others that didn't make the first round of cuts. Defoliation day came a day early and they lost a lot of mass but the amount of light available to the canopy and the side branches can now get full light. Also build a modular grow tent for my 400 while I wait on my next light came out pretty well and cost 60$ to make a 4 x 4 grow tent with the only cutting done was the plastic to wrap the outside of it.

it is indeed a lot of foliage gone but a few have had no problems starting to fill that space already. Started the defoliation at day 20 of veg and here they are after two days of growth without their main fan leaves. Some of these have amazing growth and some like the snow white have a lot of growth but its not very clean in plant structure when you compare it to the others who have very defined intermodal differences. Grow is becoming better and better everyday adding to the overall build as well as building up an army of mothers. Current plan of attack is to flower 9 - 12 off when I start the clones I have already graded the preferred plants and the ones I want to send to flower first. Going to attack cloning from three directions at the same time I am going to take 3 cuttings from each plant 1 will go into rapid rooter 1 will go into rockwool and the final 1 in the cloner that I built. This gives me a bit more chance of a guaranteed viable clone from each mother to send to flowering also gives me a base on how I do with all three teqniues and how the plants themselves respond to the three. Will be taking the clones from the top of the plant for one and the very bottom shoots for the other two. Some look like I could clone them now but not quite ready for all of that.

Here is a photo journey from day 6 - 22 in two day increments you can really see the size change in a 48 hour period.

Day 24 of veg looking pretty empty in the canopy at the moment but I can just envision what it will look like by the end of the week and in two Fridays I imagine that it will be past time to clone and shall be taking a large # of clones which should make life interesting.
Day_246.JPG

Hit em up again on Friday and removed more vegetation some are having absolutely insane amounts of growth and others are developing but somewhat slower. Inside of two weeks they will all have an incredible amount of shoots that I can use for clones some already have 4 -6 6" shoots that would make great clones.

Well day 12 since defol and day 5 since the last defol and as you can see I got some monsters forming. Some have developed incredible branching and others not very many have slowed their growth dramatically. For the most part though they are very healthy and happy.

They get moved once to twice a week depending on growth so as to maximize the overall gardens growth so the taller ones go toward the outside and the shorter ones close to the middle but 2 of the ones on the outside are actually autoflower and since moving to GLR on my light schedule they have begun flowering so that is why there are two tall plants with all their leaves still intact.

Well cloning supplies came in today took 24 cutting and should grab another 11 tomorrow. Split them up half and half with rockwool and rapid rooters. Using clonex root gel. Both are covered in domes and sitting on heating pad. Still have to finish plumbing my cloner and then I can test it against the others. Will be interesting to see the results in two weeks.

So I am using Advanced Nutrients Connoisseur Master Grow Level for my nutrients in the flowering stage, and this mix of nutrients has quite a large volume of additives in it and I wanted a fast and simple way to be able to mix up my nutrients when it was time to water. So I went online and searched around and found some nice 2 oz and 4 oz plastic bottles and got these in four different colors so as to break down the main differences in the weekly nutrients suggested. I got clear for week 1 amber for week 2 green for week 3 -5 and blue for the 6th and 7th week and of course the final week is flush so nothing special needed for that. Each bottle contains a different additive in it and premeasured out for 5 gallons of water so all I have to do to make a batch of nutes up it will take me less then 3 minutes to add all of the nutrients. Anyway here are some pics of the mini project to make my life and grow easier. As you can see I made labels for the bottles to make it easier when I need to add and make refills.
