20 Strains from Seed to Harvest

Busy times that's for sure got plants in flower, clones out the ass, second round of seedlings, and my mother plants. Things are looking great at the moment down to 4 weeks till first harvest comes in. The plants have exploded that are in flowering and the funny part is these aer the plants I thought of as the runts of the litter.

Well a new update to my three followers lol honestly I thought there would have been a bit more response but it is what it is and without further bs here is the breakdown currently have my seedlings just about to start vegative growth, have two week and one week old cuttings in plugs with atleast 3 of each variety and up to 10 on some. In the realm of mothers they were striped of all but the top leaf of each shoot 10 days ago, the compactness and # of shoots growing off of these miniature plants is ridiculious. There are some with upwards of 50 shoots growing it takes about 30 mins to de leaf one. The pics don't do it justice I just can sit and stare at one for any length of time its just mesermizing I love to grow. As for the good stuff the first plants should be ready for harvest in two weeks so and then every week to 10 days after. Going to get a new list of whats where soon as I know that I added in Super Skunk, Ak, Jack Fi, Super Lemon Haze to the 19 varities that I have going and have just a few more seeds left but still have white rhino and big bang to add to the mix.

Well that could be tough to answer because I haven't harvested and smoked all 25 types but so far I have smoked LA Diva, Snow White, just harvested one of my strawberries. But If you are talking about favorite plants that look the best as far as nice branching and ability to carry and produce good weight I have my fav four right now as Sour Diseal (dinafem's) and MK Ultra and Underdawg from Th Seeds and either Hawaiian Snow from green house or ..... (you know u have to many varieties or you are to stoned when u have to go look at the garden to remember the name of this last one)..... lol snow white. All of these varieties have just beautiful plants and haven't gotten a chance to truly push and master each one but those are the top five yet unsmoked. But not far behind mind you would be Trainwreck and Grand Daddy Purple and Jack Herer. And for the ones on the list not going to rule anything out until its grown and smoked but the top 4 could easily grow one massive plant and produce a serious amount.

ya there are a lot of sour d's around currently I am growing dinafems sour d but will be trying it against a few others and of course will try soma's sour d. Its going to be a few before I get to that as I just added 5 new varieties and still have 3 more in seeds to add. Then of course I need to get the 20+ down to like 8 - 10 but the best part is even the ones I don't like are still awesome and great smoke.

Well another week has come and gone and now we are starting to build up some bud to smoke and getting more every week but two weeks now nothing smoked that wasn't home grown. So happy about not spending money on that anymore and ordering one or two tents next week. Built a new version of the ice chest / cloner this one was smaller but I took more time with it (still less then 2 hours) and applied the lessons learned from building the second one. Shopping around for two more like it but the medium size coolers with removable lids are not stocked that much in winter for some reason. Taking clones everyday now for 7 days as these pics show ran out of room so grouped them together. The top one is holding 20+ cutting and the middle one is in the range of 12 and the bottom one is 15+ not including the ones that are just holding a single one.

Been wanting to ask you for a while, what is your theory about your defoliation and why you are doing, you really seem to be beating your plants up?

Well this will probably be a long winded answer, so my theory on defoliation goes kinda like this the size of the lamp that I use is good to grow for x number of inches. I am using a 600 watt in my grow room and this means that anymore then 28 inches from the lamp gives you greatly reduced plant growth. So I keep them small enough in height that the bottom of my plants are no more then 24" from the bulb. So the next problem is what blocks the light from reaching the bottom of the plant and the lower branches. So with artificial lighting as opposed to sun light my biggest problem is the large fan leaves. So by removing my leaves I allow the light to get better penetration with my light allowing my side branches to develop fully. On my sour diesel she is under 18" tall and has over 100 shoots and as these girls are for mother plants and producing clones the more I have the ability to produce the better off I am. However if I throw a screen over one of these for SOG style of growing for flowering these ladies would produce a retarded amount of bud. I am looking for a good place to get them flowered outside for a few of them. But I use my defoliation to increase my undergrowth as the bottom will produce more the the top third by building the base up with more and more and more shoots they reach the same height as the top of the plants and instead of one cola you have 100 colas. Still don't fell that I am conveying my theory all that well but the shortest of awnsers is that I am building my plants out horizontally instead of vertically since with indoor lighting.

I would agree that the first few times they look really beaten but now I cant take that many leaves of the sour d on any of them as there are just too many now it more about molding the plant and taking the cuttings to produce the shape I want and to best fill the area but this still has some defol in it as well. You kind of have to think of it like a bonsi tree that you can shape and mold and the more you work with plants and the same plant the better you get at shaping them and getting what you want done. When you take a shoot are you looking at the length of the shoot or what it is going to do to the plant.

My process for finding mothers is a bit different, and not on scale as yours( only 3 strains). I grow multiple plants of one strain, take clone of each, bud mothers and save clone of best mother after they bud out for my mother. You got such a crazy amount of genetics I would lose track LOL.

So I have been taking clones every day now for the past 8 days I just do one plant a day and for the first five days I kept it to one plant a hole but not I am sticking 20 - 30 + in every 2" collar. So I was checking the girls from day one and say my first two roots showing however two of the six from that row don't look great so that will most likely be a 4/6 or 66% success rate of cuttings the row down looks great and everyone else does to indicating I probably have a water flow issue in the corner at the top. I am estatic at the opportunity to finally be in some production as getting the genetics set up has been a long task still harvesting the runts of the litter and should be adding my 2L army to the flower tent with in the next two weeks.

So not including clones we are looking at 24 varieties, 14 new seedlings, 2 in re veg, 15 in veg, and 7 in flower. Should be planting a few clones to go into flower today going to be sending all the clones strait into flower to give me a chance to taste my mothers and get rid of a few more variants. The seven left in flowering were the runts and are almost finished with the exclusion of the snow which has at least another month left into it. I don't think the pics do enough justice I could easily take twice as many but would be here days and days trying to load up each of the beautiful girls.

Ordering my second tent which with the one I build should give me three this week. Grow is expanding and im enjoying always being behind its better then sitting around and waiting. Just cloning one a day is producing 20 - 40 cuttings a day which is way the hell to much lucky im not up to 100% success rate yet. But to be honest I will trash the weaker looking ones and it also gives me plenty of a chance to try out and start knocking down the # of mothers I have.

My grow is for long term not the short turn and burn but to find me 8 - 10 different types and then working on being able to maximize each of those. Growing two to three different types for every one of my goal allows me to get through more types then most growers will try.

So I think I might the most loaded cloner ever pictures don't do it justice. First three are out and have three that are going tommrow and then about 7 - 10 more this week and next week 10 a day if I get a low success rate but that doesn't look to be happening but until that are harvested im not counting them. And so the 2L army begins should be able to have test clones from all my mothers inside the grow tent inside of the next two weeks so I can finally start to par down their numbers.

Well today I become Joe six pack I kinda forgot to check these girls and had 4 of 5 rooted so I planted 3 of em and threw them into flower. Have 5 more girls that have presented roots and as you can see the cloner is still quite quite quite full.

Holy Vegetative growth Batman got another 3 to add to the 2 liter army and 6 more with roots showing that will be planted tomorrow. Should take a clone of each of the new girls tomorrow as well. Also going to be harvesting train wreck, sour d, mk ultra and strawberry tomorrow so as you can see I am definitely looking forward to Friday.
