Derek910 Liberty Haze & Gelato Clone Organic Soil Grow First Attempt

That makes sense. What do you think about making something possibly out of vinyl or something to wrap around the sides of the pots to force water downward instead of coming out of the sides. Then once done watering remove the wrap. Seems it would make it easier to water evenly and still get the benefits of the fabric pot
I hate the idea only because it is unnecessary. Just water more slowly. It takes me about 3 hours to get watering done in my Geopots, because I start off with only about a quart on each plant, slowly applied across the entire top, and then I walk away for a half hour before giving any more. Even then, I still go slow, and maybe add another quart before I walk away again. Then, following my proper watering guide, I come back in an hour and carefully water around the outside edge and up to where the last transplant's rootball is, with another quart. By this time the water is starting to soak in really well, and instead of flowing out of the sides or finding a path to the bottom, I am now seeing good suction on the top surface as I add more water. In another half hour or so, I come back again and this time concentrate on the middle portion of the container, right on top of the old rootball, and I give that area a couple of quarts, attempting to move the soil out of that region toward the outside of the container. A half hour later, I again water the outside edges, trying to move that soil toward the center and make the outside edges the wettest area in the container.
It really is a complicated system that I use to migrate soil around inside of the container and it takes patience to water a cloth bag properly and completely. If this sort of patient watering isn't for you, then by all means find a better method, like dunking the whole thing, putting it in a bucket to water it, or wrapping it in plastic or duck tape... but nothing beats a proper and slow watering, or even a medium fast 2 step watering, where you water to runoff once and then several hours later, water to runoff again. Watering is my zen time, and the dog and I sit in the grow room for hours sometimes, reading, meditating, listening to music or TV...

Moved them into the flower tent and gave them about 3/4 gallon with a Tbsp of URB. Found a nanner on the Gelato. I’m not sure what’s causing this because environment is 75F 50% RH, water ph is 6.6 today, no light leaks, but there was some nute burn but it seems to have normalized because it hasn’t gotten worse. I guess it could be the genetics. These still have about 40 days left or take a day or two. Is that long enough to produce seeds if they’ve been fertilized? Will it effect the potency because they will be focusing on seeds? Let me know what y’all think and I’ll keep a close eye for more nanners

Could just be the genetics.. either that, or something is stressing them out to cause it. 40 days? That’s a long time... for the questions you asked, I’m not sure man. I found some nanners on my plant as well. I’m almost certain the second light I had in the tent caused it. It is t full spectrum, and has a large blue hue to it.

The branches are thin and weak. The buds are flopping all over the place. I have a mixture of stakes and plant yo-yos to hold them up. Wish I could have Vegged these in this tent with more room to give the branches time to develop. Purple is showing up on the Liberty Haze. Gelato is looking good except for the leaves that took a hit from the nute burn. Haven’t found any more nanners yet but I’ll continue to check multiple times throughout each day. They should start putting on some weight over the next few weeks. Watered them today and added 1 Tbsp of URB per gallon of water.

The Gelato is starting to turn colors and the purple is almost all the way showing on the Liberty Haze. Really digging the frost on these compared to my last synthetic nute grow. New hairs are starting to burst out and the calyxes are swelling nicely. The smell is stronger as well. I’m done with synthetic nutrients. Going to start checking trichomes at the end of next week

We’re getting close. The fan leaves are drying up but haven’t quite been used up yet. I give a little tug and they are still holding on. I’m still seeing clear trichomes and not really any amber. Going to check them again on Sunday. Let me know what y’all think.

Today is harvest day. Checked the trichomes on Sunday and they were about 10-15% amber so I gave them 36 hours of dark and cut them this morning.

Harvest Day 79 days in flower, 107 total grow days. I’ll report back after they’ve dried and been trimmed with the weights

Had to put them in the curing containers after about 4 days. The humidity is down in the 30% range and I don’t have a humidifier. They were drying too fast so I put them in the containers to slow that down. I’ve been closely monitoring the humidity and I’d let them sit in the containers until the humidity maxed out for about an hour. Then I would carefully take them out and put them on drying racks until they felt dry on the outside. The first one was 70% and now they hold steady at 62%. I burp them every 12 hours for 15 minutes. I usually do that for 2 weeks and then reduce it to every 24 hours for 2 weeks. It smells and looks great.

Gelato - 94.14 gr = 3.32 oz
Liberty Haze - 56.60 gr = 2.00 oz
Total = 5.32 oz.
