the way I do it Pz is I look at my tops and I look at the bottoms anything too far behind I hack off
if the tops like significantly bigger and it looks like the bottom bud is just starting hack it
its just my opinion you have to pick and choose what you take off cant just blindly clear
the whole bottom

That's one thing I've always been weary of is taking to much off.

I noticed once I threw my plants in veg with the MH they had tighter nodes yes but foliage wasn't as
Plentiful as with CFL's or T5s
It just seems to me that veg is better under not such intense light.
But again this is just what works for me.

Good to know flower about the heat.
I recently purchased a one room stand GE digital air conditioner.
Amazing how cheap they are in the winter!!
Scored it for 100 bucks!

Currently I'm soaking 5 of bogs sour strawberrys and 5 Mendo purps for veg.

I'm also purchasing a king cloner 36 site.
Planning on vedging , taking cuttings off each plant and sex them this way.
Keeping the strongest females as mothers.
Possibly saving a male sour strawberry.

I'm really hoping for the purple strawberry pheno in the SS.
Only popping 10 is a crap shoot but I don't have the space at the moment for 24 in veg.

Can't wait for some Mendo!!!

It's almost like a damn addiction!

I still have around seven packages coming my way in the next few weeks..
I'm really stoked about gage greens grape stomper!!
Some of the best meds I've ever gotten my hands on!

If you get the chance to run anything grape stomper do it!

As far as I know it does have purple streaks in the flowers.
More light blue in general color.

I'm a purple lover.
Anything that throws fall colors or has a berry flavor I love!

I'm getting a pre release from a breeder next week.

Ok ,
Going to upload some pictures since I haven't in a long time it seems.
The ghost train runt threw nuts today so down he went!!
Lot of males I've seen from RD but again I didn't pop a 20 pack so I can't bitch to much.
Just 6 total and I only have one RD left the ghost train haze 8
And barneys critical kush.

But I'm going to grow these two out and finish up this grow journal.
And start a second running Mendo purps and sour strawberry kush.
If they pop out of the soil I put them in last night.
All tap roots were out and almost a quarter inch before hitting dirt.

Critical kush

I took four cuttings off ghost train right after the flip
And just basically wrapped Saran Wrap over a coffee mug with water inside.
And cut at a 45 under water and scored the base with a scalpel and placed the cuttings in the water.
Discovered this today

All in all the two gals left look decent and hopefully I can have four cuttings to throw in flower with the other two.

Good to know I'm not the only impulsive one when it comes to seeds.
I just remember looking 5-6 years ago at seed sites and half the strains that were available at the time are no longer around.
Just don't want to lose the genetics I find appealing..

Now if I can just find some legit cherry pie beans I'll be good for now lol


By the way , did I take enough foliage off the bottom of the ghost train?
Or should I take more?

What is the best way to pot clones in soil?
I've read a lot of people having trouble moving clones from cloners to soil.
That they wilt very fast from the soil smothering the clone.

hey Pz I don't usually have any issues like that from the bubble cloner
maybe part of the reason for me is because I don't dome my cuttings when im trying to root them in my bubble cloner
but ive never had a wilting problem when I throw my clones into soil I usually throw them in a 12 oz cup with soil
the soil usually has moisture in it so I don't water till the next day seems to do fine

How long are your roots when potting?

they can already touch the bottom of the cup
but I put a layer of soil on the bottom first
so its usually pretty well rooted before I use it
my chemdog clone is still in my bubble cloner kinda vegging in there actually
while I got 3 og kush cuttings in there to root
just didn't have space to move stuff around yet but its gonna move sunday to a bucket
but yea my clones are fairly well rooted before I put them from the bubbler into soil
there actually might be pics on my journal of how well its rooted before I do anything else with them

I honestly didn't expect for these cuttings to take root just chilling in a cup of water.
But I had an old timer tell me that's how they use to do it and dip the cutting in willow water or aloe Vera juice.
Well, it definitely works....

Hopfully I can turn this jurnol into a 6 plant finish rather than a two.

I was also advised to try and use a humidity dome on seedlings
Well I did using a plastic clear party cup and they busted out faster than I've seen..
So my question is when should I take the make shift domes off?
In 24 hours they have managed to break ground and already shed their shells..

I've never done it this way before.
All 10 jumped out pretty fast so I'm convinced but don't know when to take them off.
I don't want to kill them being my top picks..

Well,
Got some shitty news..
Power went out because of a tree limb hitting a transformer and the power is estimated to be out for over 24 hours..
Don't know what this means in regards to my gals..
But I set up some CFL's off a big battery and my seedlings have lights..
But the ghost train and critical are without light and air..
I have the tent door open and the lows tonight shouldn't be to bad inside..
60 at the lowest.
I'm just worried about the no light for 2 cycles..
