Heatmat temp control

Could I use a heatmat for seedlings to controll temperature on a simple dwc in a tote with a germination heatmat?

Put the tote on top of the mat to keep warm.

I use one for heat in my growbox, and it works pretty well, but I'm not sure how well it would heat a tote of water...
You could always do a test run with a tote of water to see if the mat puts out enough heat to keep things warm enough.

I think I'll try it. I'm wanting one for germination anyway. I'm going to fill a tote/resavoir and check my area for temperature, then I'll try with the heat mat.
I think my reservoir temperature will be low on its own, but a heat mat possibly just a little on a timer would make a difference.
