I wish I had the AC license I need to fix our central air this summer, had a window shaker last year. you can get a Metal Halide bulb for the veg, it will keep your nodes tighter, and the spectrum promotes vegetative growth. Switching to 18/6 shouldn't bother them as long as your not switching back and forth all the time, or doing it just before flower, I am not sure if it would be a problem but feel like it wouldn't be a good thing

any thoughts on odour control? do you need it?

Well if the smell get to strong, i imagine i will need to install some type of odor control. I have my own place so i really dont care, but if the odor gets to strong i do need to think about the neighbors..... Damn neighbors:/..loljk....I'll probably get a carbon filter and install on to the ductingon the air-cooled hood. I was thinking of intalling a vent pipe in my wall and taking it out trough the roof. Well see though...little by little im going to get better equipment ..i was, also, planning on getting a metal halide for vegging but at the moment am trying to keep the cost down..i plan on getting a whole different ballast for vegging, maybe like a 400 watt Apollo ballast, so i can have a seperate room for vegging and all the cfls im using now for vegging will eventually just be used for germinating my seeds.

UPDATE 02/27/2015


Today all i did was water my girls. I gave them plain water 6.6 ph...now on to the bad news......smh.
Well guys, I'm not going to lie, but it has not been a good day for a few of my baby girl. Firstly, earlier today, I went to pull out the toothpick I had put on Ce the other night, and I accidentally ripped one of her first set of true leaves.not all the way thought; Thank god. Secondly, I also, didn't realize that Nahui and Yei were to close to the lights they were actually touching o_0 the cfl bulbs and needless to say they got burnt...its not to bad (i think?) But im sure they did not like it to much..i have some pics of the damage below....on a good note, they do look really perky, so I'm trying not worry about them to much. They all seem to love all the light im giving them. I keep my 23w 6500k cfl's about 1/2" away from the top of each seedling. I have one cfl per seedling. Ome is doing really well she looks to be growing fine (from what i can tell) Macuilli is doing good aswell, Macuilli is doing good aswell.. Cihuatl looks like shes coming out of her shell ok but i think she is struggling. Im not sure if you can see it in the pics i posted but het root seems to be growing sideways(like to the sideo_0). I put a light on her to see if she reaches for it and straightens herself out...as for malinalxochitl, i dont know but she is having a really hard time coming out of her shell. I planted her and cihuatl and the same time and she barely cracked her shell. Im not giving up on her though....

Tommorrow after class I'm going to build another room for them so I can leave the lights on 24/7...I stood up a little later than usual tonight, so I could check the temperature swing between my lights on and off periods. From what you guys told me, my temps look good ...my light on temps are at 74°f (23.33°C)and my lights off temps is at 68°f (20°C)....my babies made me lose sleep today. Its like 2:30 a.m., and i gotta get up in two hours to go to a 6 hour Saturday class that is in downtown L.A, witch incidentally is going to take me 2 hours just to get there and two hours to get back. that freakin sucks balls) ..lol

UPDATE 02/28/2015

Well guys
My two youngest seedling have died . I dont think it was anything i did wrong. I thinkthe seeds were not that good:/ ..im disappointed but was already expecting me to lose a couople of plants anyways. Since its my first grow ...well on a more positive note .. my other seedling s are looking good today i just checked the lights and watered them with a low dose of superthrive. About 1/4 of the recomended dosage.




Ce..the first pic was taken yesterday and as you can see she has grown a bit, but her growth has slowed down due to the tear on her leaf but shes doing good

Ome...by far is growing at a faster rate than the rest of the plants ..the first picture was taken yesterday and as you can see that compared ti the ret of the picture (witch i took today) she has grown alot for one day.:thunb:.

Nahui is doing good as well . Even thought she got that light burn yesterday

hey bro i tried pm pm you back but i was unable too. It said that i need to have a total of 50 posts before i could pm anyone ...but yea if the system is turning on when you manually press the contactors down than it has to be some thing in the electrical circuit. ..e.g contactor coil, transformer, thermostat, relay, loose wires pitted contactors .. if its cooling the way its suppose too (after you press contactor down manually) than its probably not a major issue..... but then again i am just a second year apprentice bro, lol i would ohm everything out . Start from line volrage and work your way down to transformer, thermostat etc. Im sure youll run into the problem.
