I have some trim I put in a closed container for a few days to make butter out of, but when I opened it I noticed a little white fuzz on maybe 5% of the whole thing of trim. My question is can I still make butter out of it, will the heat kill anything bad in it and if not the heat of melting and soking maybe the heat of baking brownies in the oven.

Re: Mold on trim help plz. !!!!!!

The problem does not reside in the mold itself, but the toxins wastes created by them.
So i dont think heating will do any good.

Yeah, dump it, even 5%, the whole bag is contaminated with spores, it can make you really sick just putting your nose in the bag to smell it.

Next time, put the trim in the freezer if you can't process it right away. Or better yet, dry the trim first, THEN store in a closed container. I still would put it in the freezer just to be safe.

Mold in any form is deadly because of the toxins, and many humans are deathly allergic to it. You can't kill it, and it will always taste like mold.
