Mr Botani's Bubbly Bubbly OG Kush Hydroponics

Yesterday september 13 i drained and feed. added around 125ml A and B gro. i am getting around 1500-1600 ppm and also used around 10ml of hydroguard to keep the root system immaculately pristine.

today september 14 i put up the scrog / support net. i had to put a few pieces of board under some of the outter buckets so that i can have a bowl like shape to my plants so that the outside plants can catch up to the inner. the scrog net holes are 3 inch by 3 inch and the LST i did early in the grow worked out real well but i will still do a small bit of scrogging so that i can get as much as possible for the available space. in order words i want to fill my net to max capacity.

so far so good everything running smoothly.

Sorry for the delay in getting back on here i was pretty busy over here. But just a few updates back on september 20 i put up the 2nd support net and i have been also taking down the removable walls so that the air circulation can be alot better. i am finding that the tops are very soft and weak. so i will be using a high powered fan to give them some exercise before the buds come out.

i also today had to do alot of tie ups. i wanted to make sure that all of the biggest tops had extra support and were evenly spaced for optimal growth. and to allow the few smaller tops to have their own space and not be covered.

on september 16 after the 1st support / scrog net was put up i did a mass trim. i got rid of everything that was under the net with no possible way of growing up so that we can have main focus on the tops to help them get bigger and stronger.

and because we are now exactly 7 days into the 12/12 light switch i will give them another week before i do the 2nd trim. its normally what? a 2 week window for a stretch when the lights switch to 12/12 so i want to give them all the space and time they need and then when the stretch phase is over anything that is below the support net will get chopped so that all the focus / growth / and nutrients can be spent on whats important, the massive tops.
i will then use a bunch of these clippings for clones for the next grow.

feel free to make any suggestions. any help / comments are greatly appreciated.

some update pictures for your viewing pleasure.

back for another quick update. last post we did a mass trim on september 16 just above. and now today we did the 2nd mass trim. today september 29 we are 9 days into the 12/12 light switch so we are still in the 2 week stretch phase. so it is around now that i like to do the 2nd mass trim while the plants are still phasing / stretching before they buds form. everything now is completely lollipopped from the top screen down. also i did remove some of the smaller sucker stalks that were smaller and just in the way of the bigger juicier bud sites.

tomorrow i will do a top up with some florakleen to give a little flush and then i will use a bunch of twist ties to re-position all of the tops so they are perfectly placed for optimal light penetration in their final home / resting place.

stopping by for a quick picture update. i had to raise the false walls and re-arrange the mylar due to the height. everything is looking beyond great and going good. we are at day 20 today since the lights were switched to 12/12 and everything looks to have fully stopped stretching now and damn are we huge.

some quick numbers for the start of the last phases...

-our 6 OG KUSH plants are in a bush that is 4 feet wide and 6 feet long
-i measured all the tops to be between 64 inches to 74 inches high from the floor.
-i counted an estimated 60-70-ish top tops not counting anything below or popcornish

tempatures are beyond perfect i am running around 22-24 degrees celcius (71-75 farenheit) but depending the weather here i did have a few days of struggle with humidity being above 60. but most days now since i added a couple more fans and a 2nd dehumidifier i got it back into the sweet spot of 40-50 rh

Today is DAY 23 since the lights were switched to 12/12 light cycle. i fully drained and feed today and took some readings. been getting some high 7.0 to 7.4 ph on the run off so i have everything back to normal now since i did a flush with florakleen. Today we topped up 4 gallons of water with 100ml of A and B bloom nutes and i added around 30ml of some bloom enhancers to get them future buds sweet and extra sticky. My temp is on the lower end of the minimum line. i had to get my temp down to help with the high humidity. so now that the humidity is near where i want it 40-50% i will get my temp back up to normal 22-24 celcius (71-75 F)

10 days since my last pop in. damn i am slacking and i apologize to anyone following this grow. but between work and kids and wife and you all know the deal its very hard to find some r-n-r time where i can sit back and get uploads etc..

but here i am, i made it back.

today October 21st is day 33 of flower since my lights were flicked to 12/12 light cycle. yesterday my new 1300 gph commercial air pump arrived. i got tired of using a zillion small 60 gph pumps for each 5 gallon reservoir so i dished out the money and damn why didnt i do this sooner. i was paying around $35 for a 30-60 gph pump which was good for maybe 2 resses max and i personally hated the low amounts of air. so i payed $90 with shipping for a 1300 gph pump and sweet hell was it worthed. there is enough power to run at least 20 5 gallon reservoirs comfortably and make the inside like a giant hot tub of violent water lol.

anyway things are looking great. i have been getting great ppm's with my nutes and boosters. running around 1200-1400 ppm each feeding. i am having to top up around 2-3 times per week because i am struggling with some heat issues. all i have is a fan and dehumidifier to fight the heat and humidity. i am not situated good enough in my house to run any type of air circulation system or exhaust fan so i have to make due with an open window when the wind is blowing in the right direction. but thanks to my location at 53 N and 57 W we have very cold weather making outdoor growing almost impossible but indoor growing fantastic.

i just actually finished a top up so i got a few update pics for you all to enjoy. be back soon.

some more news for the future of my growing last week i purchased 1 JACK HERER AND 2 CINDERELLA 99 AKA C99 SEEDS. THEY HAVE BEEN GERMINATED AND ROOTED INTO MY PEAT PELLETS AND IN THE DOME. They are a little stretchy but other than that they are taking off. I will be growing them in rotation with my next 6 clones i made of my current grow OG KUSH. so i will have 9 plants in total 6 OG KUSH - 1 JACK HERER - 2 C99 for the next grow. Some pics for your enjoyment and more to follow.

i just noticed alot of my tops are starting to slouch due to the weight so i will be putting some strings criss crossed to tie up and be prepared. i had to take down the side walls and when i did i managed to get some close ups of the undershade buds for everyone.

Today is week 8 / day 52 since we flipped the switch to 12/12 light cycle. We did a big flush today with florakleen added around 8 teaspoons per reservoir for around 2 hours before draining off again to feed.
We feed to get around 1400ppm and our ph is back stable to around 5.6 to 5.9.
Took lots of pics today buds are starting to swell huge and stinking the place out. Buds are on average around 12-16 inches long and they are all averaging around 4 inches in diameter so far but the majority of the swelling is yet to come in the final 2-3 weeks and this strain i have is og kush so i will be pushing to around 76 days before i chop.

HOPEFULLY YOU GUYS CAN SEE THROUGH THE TWIST TIES LOL these monster buds are motherbleeping GIMASSIVE. my last last harvest of this exact strain the mother plant i had 4 plants under 800 watts of light i got got almost 1.5 pounds it was around 22-23 ounces. and this time we added a 1000watt light giving us 1800 watts and we also added a ton of bloom boosters and bud swellers and weight gainers and we added 2 additional plants for 6 plants in total. so if i was to take a shot in the dark about dried yield i think i should get close to 55 to 60 ounces to make maybe HOPEFULLY 3.5 to 4 pounds.

Back for a check in. Yesterday we drained and feed. Today is day 60 since the lights went back and everything is running great. Perfect ph's 5.8, perfect ppms 1200-1400, perfect humidity 41-46% and perfect temps 68-75 degrees.

these og kush are clones from my last grow. and in my last grow as i stated before i went exactly 70 days flowering from the 12/12 switch and at that time i had about 5% clear 85% cloudy and 10% amber trichs. i only had 800 watts of light and lack of nutes.

but now i am day 60 only 10 days away from when i harvested last grow same plant (clones) but i have 1800 watts of light. now i am around 95% cloudy and 5% clear and i have FOXTAILS all over the majority of the tops. i didnt experience this the last grow. and i know for a fact these foxtails are heat or stress related because i check my humidity and temp around 20 times per day and i never go below or above 40-50 % humidity and i never go below or above 68 to 75 degress. they are stress related because my ppms are right in the meaty part of the 1200 required ppm for mid > late bloom and everything is down to a science.

im thinking the foxtails are just genetic and due to the fact that this grow i was able to adjust 5 flaws from my last i am seeing them as a sign of serious over loved ripeness. the 5 flaws that i fixed for this grow vs the last was that i added 1800 watts of light. i added 4 walls of the best reflective material instead of wasting light, i added a more powerful fan, i had more nutes to give them the right ppms throughout the grow and i added a massive industrial pump where i increased the root zone oxygen by about 5000%.

so right now i am 60 days flowering since i flipped the lights to 12/12 and i am thinking from the looks of things like trichs and foxtails i might be looking at around 84 days before harvest which would be 70 days if we counting flowering days from 2 weeks after the 12/12 switch. anyway i have some pics for all to see and help me decide.

well where can i start... i guess i have to say sorry for not being on in a while. and then at the same time i think i am the luckiest person on the face of this planet.

november 22nd was day 65 since my lights went back to 12/12 cycle. and this exact strain in my last grow i chopped at day 69. well on november 22nd i was doing my daily routines of checking trichomes and topping etc.. now i kept my grow in a back room of my house. so i hear some knocking at my door and my girlfriend goes to open the door and they say that they have got reports of strong marijuana odor from our daughters schoolbag in school and that they are from childrens aid society.

i let them in and they sit at the kitchen table and i run off with this story that i keep my medical weed stored in the back room and i do get prescriptions. they believed me and why they didnt ask to see the card or the back room or call the cops is beyond me. so they asked if my kids could stay with my sister for a day until i can put my weed out of the house and give rid of the smell. i did so and after a few more normal everyday questions they left and said they will return the following day.

well i think that is the fastest time i ever harvested and tore down a grow op in my life.

but there was a new problem because now i have nowhere to dry it. i stashed everything outside in an old trailer and the humidity outside was around 94% and the temps were around 35 F. they sat there overnight in rubbermaid bins until i can do something about it. i put some heaters in there and hung them up but still no good. humidity was over 90 and temps where only 35 F they stayed like this for 2 more days so 3 days in total things were looking bad but could of been 1 million times worst.

i managed to get permission from someone to put it in their basement so i went there and did a quick manacure of all the big fan leaves which were still on and kinda put everything in small popcorn nugs to help dry better. so since saturday morning they have been all spread out on screens with good air circulation temps perfect at 70 F and humidity scaling between 35-45%. i checked today and just moved around and they look to be around 60% dry so hopefully thursday they will be ready for the mason jars. i managed to get some pics for everyone.

holy fuck my nerves are gone how the hell or what the hell stopped those ladies from going in that back room. day there is something or someone watching each and everyone of us.

thanks for following and i wish all the best with their grows and please stay safe everyone. there is bitch ass people out there everyone who dont care and will do anything to destroy us. we need to stick together.

oh and for anyone wondering about weight so far. they are about 60-70% dry right now and we got 93 ounces. so fully dry i will think around 55-65 ounces.

good luck with all your grows guys
