Also trimmed out a lot of the bottom popcorn branches to get more juice up to the top, tied over two tallest branches to delay raising the lamp, and she needed another liter of nutes.

Week 4.5 of flowering. Mixed another gallon of solution: 3.8L deionized water, 1.9g Advanced Nutrients (AN) Big Bud, 7.5mL AN Bud Candy, 7.5mG AN Nirvana, 5.0mL AN Sensi Cal-Mag Xtra and 2.0mL General Hydroponics pH Up. Solution tested w/ Hanna Instruments HI983-6: 900 ppm TDS, pH 6.2. Gave her 1.5L. Light cycle has been increased to 13 hours a day after bumping it up to 12.5 a week ago.

It's time for the daylate weekly update (week 5.5):

And on this week's menu:
Mix another gallon of solution: 3.8L deionized water, 3g GH MaxiBloom, 1.9g Advanced Nutrients (AN) Big Bud, 7.5mL AN Bud Candy, 7.5mG AN Nirvana and 3.5mL General Hydroponics pH Up. Solution tested w/ Hanna Instruments HI9813-6: 1340 ppm TDS, pH 6.3.

Here's a photo looking down at the plant from Sunday, April 4. She's filling in and gaining weight nicely but the yellowing leaves are persisting and worsening. It has become enough to cause concern how this stuff is going to smoke and taste. It has to be over fertilized, if the problem were a deficiency it would have cleared up with the nutrients I applied, so I decided to leach (flush) the soil Tuesday.

I must say, there is definite advantage to using plant stakes rather than trellis net. I just picked up the whole plant by the pot and put it in the shower where she got around 20 gallons of lukewarm tap water slowly run through her pot with the shower wand. I left her tilted a bit to fully drain for an hour or so and then put her back in the closet.
I'm not too worried about root rot- this plant has been going through a gallon of water a week easy, so the soil isn't going to be drenched for long, especially after tilting the pot to drain more water post-flush, and the soil has lots of perlite in it. She looked like she had perked up some yesterday.
Time to get out the microscope and see how the trichomes are doing!

Wow, she needed a drink again already.

4/9/2021 Week 7. Mixed another gallon of solution yesterday: 3.8L deionized water, 7.5mL AN Bud Candy, 7.5mL AN Nirvana, 7.5mL AN Overdrive and 3.5mL General Hydroponics pH Up. Measured 560 ppm TDS, pH 6.3. Last application of Bud Candy & Nirvana, 1st of 2 applications of Overdrive. She got 1.5L and only a small amount drained out the bottom of the pot.

Just trimmed a small part of a leaf from a top bud and was surprised to find the trichs on the top side mostly amber, but still clear or milky along the edge and underneath:

Got out the Optivisor and a Loupe and quickly learned such is the condition of all the top buds. That's more amber than I like, so harvest time is here after a few last photos.

Leafs amber faster than the actual buds but none the less your preference is just that. I read most of this journal and enjoy it very much. Happy harvest buddy!

Thanks for the feedback, @chuck1718. I took another close look and you are right. It's only the leaves that have the burnt looking trichs, so I am now thinking no rush, do a final flush soon as the soil dries out and harvest in a week or so.
I kind of wonder if this may be related to taking my light mover out of service last night after the drive wheel started making an awful noise. The lamp is hung over the guide rail in fixed position until I can repair the mover.
Maybe the constant intense light toasted them, although it is 30.5cm (12 inches) between lamp and nearest bud, some 10cm (4 inches) farther than when hung from broke down motion machine. It sucks that the light mover crapped out now- these 12 band blurples don't distribute all the wavelengths very well without it.

They always turn first but it might be associated with the light. I've tied my lights to a oscillating fan when my move broke down but it only moved about 4 inches . Either way plant looks great and you are getting close so happy growing and harvesting!!

In the past I either haven't noticed or harvested to early to see them turn. The USB microscope has been very helpful for observing trichs. This will be my 3rd grow using it to check ripeness. I'm sure some varieties are more prone to the effect and probably influenced by nutrient types and schedules as well.
Speaking of the joys of growing, here's my contribution for the day. Enjoy!

A small bud from the bottom of the plant. WHO SPILLED THE POWDERED SUGAR, LOL!

The final talley is in; I got 65.5g (2.3oz). Not a huge harvest but for me a good 6 or 8 month stash. Here's photos of the curing buds, one without flash and one with. The flash really makes the trichs pop. It's tasty and potent but needs to cure a while.

So with this post, this Journal is officially complete and I move on to my next project, Citrus Sap & Mystery Seeds.
Thanks for reading along everyone!
