ProfessorFlora's Wilma LED Auto Photoperiod Showcase: First Journal

update

The ladies are all doing well, even the clones i butchered 2 weeks ago. I thought that they were gone for but I just left them and they now are showing some nice colour. I need 10 to fill my tent (well, not really) and i have 2 of each strain and i only took ten clones. There was a lot of room for error with no safety net. Anyway the autoflower are all doing great. The youngest is keeping up with the nutrient increases with no signs of discomfort...get and there rate of growth is normal. They've had their nutrients increased to 800ppm and are loving it. There still on only get nutes and 25ml Cannazym per 10ltr of water. The mothers are also exploding back into life after there extreme chop. It may seem a little boring at the moment but the clones into the flowering tent on sat/sun so that should bring us all kinds of......pain, only kidding, it'll be fun....

Peace and happy growing

My new root nurse fabric pots have arrived. I'm looking to get as much air the the root zone as possible and I think this combination will work really well. There only 3ltr but I've found that when you use fabric pots you get no root circling and you can grow much bigger plants that you normally could with the same size plastic pots.

Peace

Update

My poor clones.......have all just burst into life! They've been in a slow state of decline since coming out of the propagator. Now there are roots exploding from the sides of the pots. Looks like we're still on course for a Sunday transplant session. Was getting worried for a second there.

Mother update

their progress shows just how tough vegging plants actually are. There's a small amount of discoloration but it's perfectly normal and nothing to worry about. I'm hoping that the tahoe shows its sex soon so I can either incorporate it into my grow or throw it. I have no intention of using it for its pollen. I don't have the room.

Auto update

These 4 are doing what they do best...grow. Even the small one has doubled or maybe tripled in size since I started this journal 3 days ago. I've decided to meet in the middle and call today day 14 for the autos. I don't normally worry about keeping track of time with autos, I prefer to tend to their needs by eye. I'm more strict with my photoperiods. For the purpose of this journal though I thought I'd be more professional. Next week sometime I'll be adding flowering nutrients but for now there quite happy.

Time for a smoke

peace

Good day 420 family

A quick updates in order me thinks
Everything is going swimmingly. The glueberry is going to overtake the white widow in terms of size soon. The oldest (smallest) auto which is sour melon is keeping up and I'm no longer worried about over feeding it. The clones are all growing now, only thing that concerns me is that the fruit tree is growing too fast. I think that the FT will be considerably larger than the boss hogg. Both are advertised as being medium height strains but we'll see. I've also topped both FT's and will top the rest in the next couple of days. Also I've chopped some of the mother plants back because I don't need any clones for about a month or so. The Tahoe OG has yet to show its gender. All in all things are looking good, just wish I had a better camera.

happy growing to all

Good day 420!

Another quick update. Firstly my autos (the ww and gb) are showing pistils. So basically I'm going to add some flowering nutrients on the weekend. The mothers and clones are exploding with growth with the fruit trees worrying me a little. There going to be massive. I may remove all of their leaves before I flower.

Update And Photoperiod Grow Journal

The wait is finally over and I've put my clones into the flowering tent. These are just a few photos to show you that they are actually in there. I just need to do a bit of fine tuning then I'll start the journal proper. The lights are so bright that they affect the camera more than the more powerful lights that are in the veg tent. In the veg tent i have 400w of Amazon bought cob LED and in this tent I have my new high quality leds that are only 200w and these seem way brighter. I'm not sure of the rules about talking about LED companies but I can tell you that it uses Luminous COBs. Also I'm thinking about slowing down the growth on some of them by topping and removing some leaves. There only small now but some of them are showing potential and there's not a lot of room to play with. Back with the full update shortly.

Peace

Photoperiod Flowering Day 0

The grow will consist of the following...

1XGorilla Lite 120X60 (2ftx4ft)
1XWilma 10 Pot System
10X Root Nurse Fabric Pots
2X 100w COB LED Grow Lights
1XS&D Silent Exhaust Fan
1XHoneywell Desktop Fan
Canna Clay Pebbles
Cannazym
Canna Aqua Vega
Canna Aqua Flores
Canna PK13/14
PH Up and Down
Plus all the little bits and bobs i may need...cable ties, ec Meter.

And the strains are....
Fruit Tree
SFV OG Kush
Black Kush
Island Punch
Boss Hogg

Tomorrow will be day 1 for flowering. I'm not giving these ladies any down time after transplant. I believe they are already big enough to achieve what I have planed for them. There's not a lot of space for 10 plants so the less height the better. I'm hoping to achieve 1 ounce per plant which will give me 10 ounces however I know I can do better than that. My record for this tent is 16 ounces but I did that in the winter with a 600w hps with a cool tube. But 10 wouldn't be bad for 200w of electricity.

Back soon with some photos.

Peace and happy growing

You'll probably notice from the pics that the clones were just put straight into their new 3ltr pots without being removed from their smaller 500ml pots. This was because the roots has grown right through the smaller pots and it would have been a massacre trying to remove them. I don't think this will benefit them in anyway however I don't see it hurting them either. They seem to already be growing faster than my previous grows with the wilma system but I'm not familiar with hydro or with this particular system yet. It is fun to grow with though. I think the fabric pots will be a good upgrade for it though because of the amount of extra air available to the roots and the elimination of root circling which i got in my last grows.

I love how clones look totally dead, and then spring to life.
Yeah, and 2 of these looked like they were on a one way road. I'm just happy that I didn't have to put any seeds in with my clones. It would have made the grow very awkward. Hope you're having fun with your horticultural endeavour.

It has been eye opening for sure. I have had equal amounts stress and fun. Hopefully the amount of fun will increase with every grow.
