Teejrocks' Coco Organic CMHx630 Grow With Oasis Genetics Autos Round 1

Welcome to page 2 :welcome:

March 19:
Too busy to play in the garden much until today... Father in law bought a new used truck, which decided to throw a tie rod end when he brought it for me to test drive. So yeah... I broke his truck... Then I fixed it, so I think we're all good. :thumb:

He like my grow closet... I'm certain he'll be setting his own up at some point this year, I'll try and convince him to join this community too.

Lemon Drop 1.1 (Day 14):
Coming along nicely and ready for another drink today, almost tall enough for some LST.

Gypsy Widow 1+2, Lemon Drop 2 (Day 31):
All three have grown nicely, and need to be re bent. both of the GWs are showing some nice bud action as is LD 2. We're at the start of week 5, so I should be thinking about top dressing, but was hoping to hear back from the manufacturer prior to the top dress.

Here are some before and after shots of these three.
LD2:

GW2:

GW1 still looks so sad, but the newer growth is still looking pretty good and the buds are still forming nicely so fingers crossed that it's on the mend now.

Temps and RH are both getting better, our weather is insanely warm for March, so the furnace is not running as often. We're now maxing out at 28.5C and I should be able to leave a window open in the room with my intakes without freezing out all of our pets in the basement.

Also had a blast with the FIL he had brought his stash and I recently bought some new toys too. On our post truck breaking pre fixing party were, Tropical Ice & White Rhino flowers both amazing quality flowers from our mutual dispensary, White Widow shatter from Stoneman Concentrates, and live rosin that was tropical something or other and tasted amazing. Showed him a few rosin pressing videos on YT and ended up stealing the wife's old hair straightener. The plates maxed out at 214f, a bit hot but totally workable. FIL totally thought I was full of shit, but being an awesome sport, and a seasoned stoner loving concentrates threw me a bud of his white rhino.

He held the parchment paper wrapped buds while I lined up the crimper/clamp contraption and went to town... Obviously no oozing happened with the ghetto setup but oh my god the smell of the hot flower being pressed was overwhelmingly amazing. Took it all out and let it cool for a minute and removed my "chips" and gathered the rosin, it was maybe a gram of pretty dried out bud but we still ended up with a 3-4 mm ball of resin. While I totally wanted to taste it through my Yocan torch & water piece, the FIL's Yocan Evolve XL was far easier to share the dab without having to split it up. My fresh pressed rosin blew the shatter and oil from "our guy" out of the park. I mean I knew that it would work with what I had, but I was completely shocked at how amazing it tasted.

I'll be very excited to see what the final version of the edible/concentrate/beverages laws end up being in Canada as the biggest drawback to cannabis consumption is still combustion. I love vaping dry herb for the purity and flavor, but after experiencing the flavors of pressed cured rosin and live processed oil, would much rather dab it up!

Happy growing everyone!

March 21:
No response from Gaia Green... Confidence inspiring...

Think that I will top dress this weekend if no response tomorrow. Aside from the burning maybe from a hot spot on GW1, they are looking pretty healthy, I wish I could get the RH up, but need the fan on high to keep temps in check.

Lemon Drop 1.1(Day 16)
Looking pretty nice!
20190322_012905_HDR.jpg

Gypsy Widow 1+2 & Lemon Drop 2(Day 33)

GW1
Stunted from the burning, but still coming along...
20190322_012931.jpg

GW2
Getting bushy
20190322_012920.jpg

LD2
Lots of little buds forming
20190322_012912.jpg

Probably going to bend them over again, they are definitely cooking now... Poor burnt gypsy widow...

OTG cable came will try my chineseium usb microscope soon!

You know at second look, that kinda looks like light burn. She’s curled up as if to say the lights too strong. Which would totally be a pheno thing, nute sensitivity could be pheno dependent too.

March 23:
Well still no reply from Gaia Green, and the plants all seem fine so on with the grow!

There is definitely some nice smells going on in here now, mostly from the GWs but LD2 is getting a bit stronger now. The 3 older girls got their top dress today, went with a 50/50 blend of 4-4-4 All Purpose & 2-8-4 Power Bloom @ 60mL (2tbsp) per 4 L (~1G) of medium. If you use dry amendments... use Emilya's watering guide after mixing in your top dress... You can see the amendments working their way into the medium nicely!

Also got the chance to play with the microscope, works great on both my cell and my computers, although I need to tweak settings on my phone as free handing the microscope is bad enough with two hands and the capture button misbehaves so far.

Any how here are a couple of quick snaps of some of that Tropical Ice we bought a while back. The microscope claims 500x & 1000x as the two focal points, but that doesn't mean to much. Here are a couple trichome shots at each focal point... Nothing spectacular, but well worth the $15 (USD) of Chinesium electronic goodness... The stupid OTG type C cable was $7(CAD) alone...

190324_005207.jpg

Lemon Drop 1.1(Day 18):
Gave her a bend over today, and the pot was getting pretty light so a healthy drink was in order. Also just barely starting to show the first few buds at the node sites. Looking amazingly healthy so far, double dose of amendments or not!
20190324_004252_HDR.jpg

Gypsy Widow 1+2 & Lemon Drop 2(Day 35):
All three of these girls were pretty light, LD2 even had an ever so slight droop before watering. As mentioned above each got top dressed before getting a healthy drink pH'd to ~6.7 just to the point of runoff.

GW1 still stunted, but the main cola was ready to be re bent and the newer growth is looking pretty good too.
20190324_004328_HDR.jpg

GW2 smells awesome and is branching out nicely, but still staying quite compact. She also got another pretty good bend to the main cola, following the top of the pot. Need to pony tail the leaves over the centre of the plant again as the buds in there are too shaded again.
20190324_004319.jpg

LD2 this one is stretching noticeably more than the GW genetics, and the buds are starting to stack. Tied down the main cola as well as many side branches. I can't believe how quickly this one is building the buds up...
20190324_004308_HDR.jpg

March 25:
Everything is doing pretty well, putting off more training until tomorrow, LD1.1 is doing super well and the lower side branches are already growing like crazy. GW1 didn't seem to mind the top dress, no real progression on the yellowing, and new growth is looking less crispy.

Tried the wide angle lens on my phone for the individual plant shots, but the min focal length is wonky...

March 29:
(Just before lights out not too long ago)
Should have snapped a pic last night before watering... They were all VERY light and just starting to droop/wilt. They still look a bit sad after sucking up ten plus liters between the four.

Lemon Drop 1.1 (Day 24):
20190330_132144.jpg
Lots of little hairs poking out now. This plant is growing so different from the other Lemon Drop, just bent her over again too. Far more "citrusy" smell from this little LD, smelled like a citronella plant when I tied her down.

Lemon Drop 2 & Gypsy Widow 1+2 (Day 41):
LD2
She started showing just a touch of yellowing a day after the top dress, but didn't progress far and seems to be doing okay now.
20190330_132137.jpg

GW1
Looking and smelling nice. No issues post top dressing
20190330_132130.jpg
20190330_132203_HDR.jpg

GW2
An awesome looking main cola, already gaining girth rapidly.

Lights are still hanging at ~30" from the tops, and the door sealed temps are slowly getting better. The fan blowing at the 4" not so passive vent helps a bit too. I usually check on the garden after my little one goes to bed, and leave the light/stink containing curtains open. The temps are near perfect even just leaving the accordion closet door open an inch, but I usually just leave it wide open and put up the old baby gate to keep the cats from basking under the lamp and fuzzing up/gnawing on my plants. It's smelling quite awesome when you walk by with the door open now! Despite the pungent smell of the flowers, the carbon filter is keeping up at the "lights out exhale" than the 1/2 full scrog from the last go too.

My grow is legal, but half my family still buys the propaganda so we're running semi stealth, I actually can't wait for one of the anti cannabis fam to ask what that faint hum in the closet is... :hmmmm:

Not that I really care but I love seeing if companies reply to their public listed email address... Not looking so good for Gaia Green ;)

April 3:
Sorry for the iffy focus... wide angle lens on my phone does not focus well up close...
Lemon Drop 1.1(Day 29):
LD 1.1 got a major training yesterday, and a further bending tonight. She was very wilted at watering, but perked up quite quickly after a good soak. I also decided to top dress this one today, so it's been a tough two days for her. ;)

After the re bend:

Lemon Drop 2(Day 46):
Got a big drink, and a leaf tucking session to open her up a bit...

April 3: (Cont'd)
Gypsy Widow 1 & 2 (Day 46):
GW1 got a big drink, a severe leaf tucking and a minor defoliation. I removed a few of the crispy yellow leaves as well as a couple un-tuckable fan leaves shading the centre...

And the stinky star of the room GW2...
Again, got a big drink, major tuck job and a minor defoliation... She's sparkling more every day :cheesygrinsmiley:

After tucking...

20190403_233521_HDR.jpg

I promise... no poorly focused wide angle shots next update...

Just did something that I may end up regretting...

The filter sock on my carbon scrubber was nasty clogged, so just prior to lights out I disconnected and took down the filter to take the sock off outside the room. The house smells absolutely amazing!

It didn't even cross my mind that there may have been pollen trapped in the filter until it was too late... Thankfully, I didn't touch the outside of the filter sock until it was out of the room so the risk should be minimal. Also the intake air comes from our "smoking room" and the possible pollen was covered in almost 8 weeks of other dust/smoke/contaminants.

Fingers Crossed... Will update with pics tonight when the lights come back on...

Or I'll ignore the journal for 3 days instead...

April 10:
The garden is coming along nicely, and didn't see any significant flower changes after messing with the filter, so hopefully no pollen escaped. The temps are better with the clean prefilter. :yahoo:

They are drinking a lot more now, and LD 1.1 is awesome green without the burning issues the other three experienced. As per their FAQ Gaia Green will not burn your plants when used as directed... Too bad they printed double strength labels and don't respond to email requests. Use the old website's Gaia Green Products Ltd. Organic Fertilizer Blends 9130 Granby Road, Grand Forks, British Columbia, Canada V0H 1H1 directions for the AP mix, which is the strength that the You Tuber was using successfully as well.

20190411_020547.jpg

Lemon Drop 1.1 (Day 36)
Looking pretty awesome, think she'll need at least one more tie down, maybe two at this rate...
20190411_020743.jpg

Interesting that this one is still in "hot mix" but with 2 weeks of activating the substrate while watering LD1, LD 1.1 is loving the "matured hot mix" and even the top dress. Could be coincidental, but after following a bunch of TLO threads, makes sense... to me anyways...:morenutes:

Lemon Drop 2 & Gypsy Widow 1 + 2 (Day 53)
We're finishing up week eight, and LD2 is still looking pretty stretchy with smaller buds and smelling almost as good as the GW girls. Cant wait to see the pistils start to change color...

April 13:
The three older girls are all showing a lot more yellow, but the buds are slowly fattening up... Hairs are still pretty white all around.

Lemon Drop 1.1 (Day 39):
Got a little complacent on the LST, she's gotten kinda tall, but the flowers are starting to grow now too. She's also Crazy thirsty and is the first to wilt.
20190413_233848_HDR.jpg

Lemon Drop 2 & Gypsy Widow 1 + 2 (Day 56):
LD2
Gettin' kinda yellow, but the buds are finally starting to gain some size, definitely citrusy smelling too. Nothing worth trimming, but I tucked some fan leaves.
20190413_233940.jpg
20190413_233955_HDR.jpg

GW1
Not too much yellowing going on, and lots of crystals... Snipped a few leaves, and tucked many.
20190413_233858_HDR.jpg
20190413_233906.jpg

GW2
Pretty freakin' yellow but buds are getting thicker, and so smelly... Also trimmed a small pile of leaves, and tucked a bunch too.
20190413_233920.jpg
20190413_233932.jpg

Start of week 9 tomorrow, really looking forward to see the pistils start to change color in the next couple weeks.

April 21:
Kinda wish that I had timed my top dress a bit later, or done another one. Two of the older girls are far more yellow than expected while still not ready to chop... LD2 & GW2 are both not happy... GW1 is actually acting more as I hoped so far. LD1.1 is also starting to show some deficiencies, I think I'll try giving her a second top dress at next watering as we are almost at the 8 week mark already, hopefully she'll end up a little healthier than LD2 near the end of flower.

Gypsy Widow 1 + 2 & Lemon Drop 2(Day 64):
GW1
OMG looking so awesome and thick but still mostly white/straight pistils.

20190421_234219_HDR.jpg

20190421_234243.jpg

GW2
Can't spin her around for better light anymore, one of the buds got too heavy for the stem and flopped over and is now tied to the ceiling... Seems to be slightly farther along as the pistils are now off white, and some are starting to curl. The buds are nowhere near as thick as GW1 but are mostly pretty respectable for my first (almost) completed run.
20190421_234258.jpg

20190421_234306.jpg

20190421_234314.jpg

LD2
Sadly, "crispy" is probably the best description of this poor girl. Lots of smallish scattered buds and nice smell, but she is looking pretty sad... Pretty odd growth pattern after my newbie abuse.
20190421_234324.jpg

20190421_234334.jpg

Lemon Drop 1.1(Day 48):
She needs a training or light defoliation, as she is a little bush at the moment. The lower leaves are starting to look a little off with some brown spotting going on. I think I will be top dressing her again at the next watering, if I can keep her from yellowing out like LD2 this one should produce nicely... I hope.
20190421_234347.jpg

After re-watching a few of the videos that I am emulating, he was giving a final top dress about week 5 of flower not week 5 overall as I did. I'll be interested to see what LD1.1 does after the top dress.

April 23:
Well I finally got the microscope behaving better, and I think I'll be chopping LD2, the hairs are still pretty light but from the looks of all the trichomes appear pretty milky...

Opinions are super welcome!

So... Lemon Drop 2(Day 66 from seed):
20190424_001011.jpg

20190424_001026.jpg

And don't full screen the video for lack of steady cam on the microscope... Tried several android apps so far and they all suck... I'll try and get a few screencaps...

just had a read through!
other than the few issues seems tobe going well, girls are looking good!
have watched a few of cannucks vids myself i think, interesting to see it in action!!
