Well, you can turn the water down, lol. First time I ever saw spider mites on my plants I used it but I was still in veg (I liked big plants). Trying to hold the plant so that it's close to the shower-head, sideways, and not spilling the media out of the container is... not an adventure that I'd care to repeat. But all I had at the time was Safer's "soap" and I was in full-on panic mode (had pictures of going to the store for more things to try and returning to find my plants had been consumed running through my head haha) so I made the girls hit the showers - turning them every which way - then shook the water off and gave them a good hosing with Safer's. The plants survived but they looked pretty bedraggled for a day or two.
ya i was afraid of all the medium falling out but what can you do but just try to be careful.
I grew some peppers a couple of years ago - plants had lots of tiny little red peppers - just for the people who said my Caribbean Reds "weren't hot enough" (don't challenge a TorturedSoul, lmfao). I can't remember the name off-hand but if you brushed up against the plant's LEAVES you'd have itchy burning red marks all over your arms before you got out of the garden. After seeing one person pop one and act like he was about to go into convulsions (lol), instantly turn pasty-white, break into an immediate all-over sweat, and say he was having the worst headache of his life I decided to give them to someone who made salsa in a huge kettle and use peppers in cooking. The guy drank everything in my refrigerator including my milk - and then swished several mouthfuls of shampoo- but called me the next day to tell me that he was ok (and to call me a SOB); I refrained from asking him if they were still hot on the way out too.
Are ghost peppers like that? Been thinking about making some salsa and maybe some "Mexican beef stew" type things in my pressure canner.
Hot peppers seem to be good for arthritis and a pain-reliever in general.
Ill put it like this as of right now Ghost peppers are the hottest chillies in the world. tested at a staggering 1,001,304 Scoville units.

hell ya i am going to listen to Sad But True right now and thank of my plants. then turn it to Battery and mess those F'ers up.Haha....Hell Ya. Throw on a little Metallica Damage, Inc, get in that room buck naked, and mess those little fuckers up. Lol...You got me all fired up!
i was think of feeding my girls that and see if it helps? i might just pick up some Rosemary oil and make my own mix.
i dont have any set hight i just eye ball it. but i would say their around 13". every time i try to raise it they just grow right up next to it so i leave it be for now.

hey i was wondering do all of you guys know what it looks like when mites are attacking ur leaves? if you guys need i can take a pic of a leaf.

never seen that? u can tell because their will be little speckles/dead spots all over the leaves from them eating it. sometimes it will look like a whites speckles all over. ill post a pic to show you.
Get a No pest strip they help[ to prevent it from starting in the 1st place. always make sure your cloths are clean and any tools u bring in are rub with alcohol. hands are always washed and u have filters on ur intake fans. trust me spider mites will tear up ur plants fast in u dont act faster. look at me i kept things real clean and went but ass naked and somehow still got them.I would definately like to see. I feel slightlly at risk. Hope i'm not jinxing myself. This IS an action packed thread lol!
always check ur leafs and the underside for mites or webbing.

Irish, please do post some pics. I don't ever want to see those bastiges in the crawlspace, but it would be quite informative to see what to look for.
It has seemed like some folks here think yer a twit if you get mites. Lab conditions are one thing, but I haven't seen too many grows here that meet that.
But please, warn me if you're taking pics naked, I don't want to have to gouge my eyes out
Nother thing, peppermint DR Bronner's. Great surfactant for sprays, and the peppermint is a bug deterrent too... plus the Dr had some really cool goggles

bro everyone get mites almost, most people lie about not getting them or they dont even know they have them, or they just started growing. some are lucky and dont get them at all. has nothing to do with ur growing skills it just means u mad a mistake somewhere and they got into ur room somehow. their a million ways to get mites. i could have gotten them from the clones i got or some kind of pumps i bought from the hydro store ect.. if some think someones a twit for getting mites then cool let them think that who cares? ive been called allot worse then that.lol. ive had soo many people say that i work for these led company's and that i need to prove myself to them. i just laugh and tell them their right the owner of the company's is my brother. Ive told so many people the Mike's my brother or cuz or room mate and i am just trying to hustle them, because i think its funny as hell to see them get all bugged out. i dont care one bit what other do or think. i just cant stand when someone says i need to prove that i am not a snake for these led company's ive tested and i need to prove it in order for them to buy that light, its so funny i cant stand it, they think i really care if they dont buy a HGL GLH or PS light.
dont worry i delete the pics that show my tool, i only post those kind of pics for money with pent house or play girl, or when shooting movies for my job.

Anyway here goes three pics of my GLH 300w girls.. 28 days into flower... My daughter took my camera on vacation with her so I used a friends. I'm not too familiar with his camera so the pics are ok I guess..

Anyway here goes three pics of my GLH 300w girls.. 28 days into flower... My daughter took my camera on vacation with her so I used a friends. I'm not too familiar with his camera so the pics are ok I guess..

The light is aprox 8 inches over most of the canopy and a little closer to the taller outer edge girls..
Yes one GLH 300w and a light mover over a 32"x32" square.. The light mover motor only moves about 2 feet back and forth.. It helps keep a nice and even canopy plus I can keep the light a lot closer with the mover, HPS or LED...
The girls are half way through the flower now.. I will take another pic in a week or so for you bro...
The strain is blueberry from Dutch Passion..

thats cool no bleaching with the lights that close. i am able to have my lights pretty close to and no problems with the health.
how is it comparing to ur 400w HPS grow so far?
More bud sites and compact flower structure that's for sure...
Trichs started to appear aprox a week earlier....
The unit is using 120w less..... 365w for the led unit as apposed to the air cooled 400w HPS that uses 485w..
No bleaching yet, but I am getting a little nute burn at 900ppm and under the HPS I can go as high as 1800ppm without getting tip burn... So flowering with led takes a little knowing your strain but it's nothing I can't handle..
If this 300w GLH unit can give me the same amount of meds that I get with my 400w HPS setup then in my book this unit is worth it's price.... Of course that's just my book...lol
Dogs, is it normal for the stems on ur girls to be red? Or is that the LED playing tricks on me? Looking good though
It's the strain... But I must say it's much more intense under the led's
