Good morning or afternoon folks.
Today is a great sunny day here, and I feel like its time to Top my beauties. They have recovered completely after I Nitrogen burned them and they suffered for a week until full recovery. Now as they are strong and healthy, I guess I'll harm them again but with beneficial purposes.
The strain I'm growing is Master Kush (Feminised). It's a pure 95% Indica dominant which I could really see as the plants have a lot bushier structure as at my previous grow.
The pots I'm growing in are a 15L pots with mix of Miracle-Grow compost that says plants grow twice faster, let's see, let's see if it's the truth. Also mix of perlite and vermiculite so roots must be feeling happy down there.
So far as I have nute burned them at very early stage I haven't been adding none, excepts PH'ed water. Usually between 5 and 6.5.
Temperature still between 27℃ and 28℃ I was worried at the beginning but they feel very comfortable. Plants have access to fresh air all of the time. Few times a day I spray them with water and temperature drops couple of degrees.

So, Toping...

Just as someone said that it's better to let the plants grow until there's 8 nodes or so and then top to 3 nodes left or more, I have seen another journal, it's persons second grow and he topped them as soon as 4th node appeared and the stem got big, really thick and structure of the plant was so strong, I got so impressed by results of topping that I decided to do it the same!

Let's begin...

Thanks Amy, yeah that would be something to watch! It's genetically strong strains as far as I know. Let me know when you ready to show it to us all.
And actually this is my second grow now, I have learned a lot from the fire grow and I can see I'm doing so much better now.
I hope everything will go smooth and you folks get to see it all with me ;)

Thank you for your kind reply. I wish you the very best too! This is my first genetics try. I grew bag weed for years, so I've never seen crystal like this before..

Me too, my interest in this started when I was around 15-16. Never got to grow till I was in my early 20's. Also started from a bag seed, one was sativa, turned hermaphrodite so I threw it out. The other one was indica, grew so well till week 2 of flowering and shortly life has been taken away from that plant. Sad but it was worth a try. Got me a lot further then I thought and was a wonderful experienced.

Here's one of the last pics that I made of that bag seed plant.

She was the Seed #8, was very weak and took long to germinate. But she has completely recovered now and is ready to surprise us all.

P.S. The last 2 seeds out of 10 didn't pop at all. So growing 8 in total.

Hello folks.
I just got back from a crazy weekend away from home. It was fayyyaaa. Had a nice dinner on a boat, there was about 15 of us from all parts of the country. Was really nice to meet up again with the realest ones. And then drinks and dances us usual.
Heads are hungover, bed is our friend, only got out the bed to get some cold fanta out the vending machine downstairs and to have a quick look at my grow room. "WOW" was what I said when I seen it. 3 days 2 nights and they grew so big. Was nearly giving them some light stress coz they grew too close to the light. I adjusted the light and everything is fine now.

The plant that was the closes to the light, I swapped it around with the youngest and weakest plant and it's catching up real quick. It's the only one left that I didn't top yet.

And also, 2 of the girls are looking weak in compare to their age mates. Leaves grew small, the top leaves are dying slowly but not any of the new growns are affected.

Maybe I should give them some more nutes for next watering?

Or if there's a different reason for that may be somebody can share it with me. Don't want to see them falling behind on size.

And I'll show u now how it all looks. 8 days later. Since TOP ing was done.

Second and third photo are the two girls that look weak to me. They grew but not as much as all other 6. Any suggestions?

They are all a bit over month old now, what are the dosages of nutes I should give them now. Only gave them a drop of micro and grow before leaving for the weekend. Maybe I should add some more next time...!?

Thanks for any help.
Pop

Quick update on my grow.

Today is Day 41 for my lil girls, that is end of week 7 from the day they broke the soil.

Plants have successfully recovered after topping. One of the plants on the right is apparently the biggest. It's the one that was right under the bulb and grew really strong. So for that fact I have swapped it with plant No.8 the wee girl that took ages to break the soil, and was very week. At the moment she is quickly catching up with the rest of the crew. She looks so good and healthy I decided no to top that one and let it grow naturally, will only do a bit of lst on her.

P.s. another fact, the biggest plant on the right after topping decided to split each branch into 5 or 6. So that's 5 to 6 colas at the end, I guess. I've big hopes for that one! Later on I'll swap it back to its first position right under the bulb and hope for a good yield of it. Anyways, that's my first time trying out Topping technique and I'm very happy with the result.

Also, I finally found out a mistake be been doing, hence why the two plants looked weak. I was adding a lot less nutrients that they needed.
I found a chart for my fertilizers and now I'm feeding them 60ml of Micro and Grow of Jungle Juice Fertilizers per 15L container that I use to store water.

Really happy with the Topping technique. Was definitely worth giving it a go.
And the stems on all of the plants is going craaazay.

Today is Day 47.
Temp is 24℃
Added 20ml Micro , 30ml Grow and 5ml Bloom.

And just before that I cleaned up the stem and branches taking off first and second set of leaves. Heard that that way it will make top colas grow bigger. So this was a little experiment. Let's wait till they recover and see how they will start flowering. I'm switching them to 12/12 in 2 weeks.

Today is Day 5 of flowering.
Moved the light higher by good few inches to allow them to grow taller.
Moved the pots around making more space around each of them.
Did little modification to the grow area, making sure no light will
disturb the night time.
Also, today on Day 5 Flowering I've noticed first white hairs on larger plants. Light cycle is 15/9.

Day 9 of flowering.
Colas are starting to show first bud structures, many white hairs curling up everywhere. Another week or so to wait till they look pretty.
Last night I watered them with 10ml Grow and 25ml Bloom per 15L container. Gave them smaller dose as I noticed some nutrient burn, tips of leaves a yellow, barely visible but I noticed. An that occurred after 2 months of solid healthy vegging. Probably last feed was a bit too much. Hopefully I'll get the to recover soon.
Going to garden store later to get Garden Lime, pure source of Calcium to fight with my Calcium deficiency. As I found out after few days of researching. Calcium deficiency happened due to my low PH of water. I was dropping it down from Blue color 8.5+ to about 5-5.5 (yellow color) and It should of been between 6.5-7.2. So I'm working on that.

P.S. From research: calcium deficiency occurs slot with most growers. US growers use cal/Mag mixture and us in EU we get Garden Lime. Calcium is essential for health of plants. For strong branches and stems and for hair development of roots.
Garden lime is a great soil conditioner so it fixes acidity of ur soil at root zone.
Can't wait to try it, hopefully plants will be looking all 110% after I fix the deficiency.

Also done some defoliation, took of big fan leaves and everything close to stem. Made more space for them and for the light penetration.

Will update with some photos too.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day 420 family.

They are looking g dehydrated as I haven't watered them 6 days till last night to dry out the soil completely to change watering cycle. From 5 cups of water each every 5 days, to 3 cups every 3rd day or 4th day.

Day 20 of flowering. Girls starting to grow fast again. Very interesting earthy odor. Light 12/12, watering with Bloom 1-5-4 and garden lime for source of calcium as I'm fighting some deficiency here.
