Cheap Grace - Regeneration and Flowering Of The Skush - A Grow Journal Prologue

This is the beginning of the prologue to a new Grow Journal by Richard Richardson, Son of Dad.

In the beginning was the Skush, and the Skush was with Richard, and the Skush was revegging.

For the first few weeks, only a 30 watt Flouro tube was used 24 hrs and no water was given until the pot felt light.

After her first watering, I added my old 250 watt Cfl behemoth at the side, hanging down.

Lots of lower leaf growth should encourage healthy root growth.

She was fed a couple of times with a seaweed enriched garden fertilizer (5-5-5)

Her soft top tips were supercropped to control her height and enable bushyness.

Eventually, she outgrew the Gorilla Shorty tent just in time for my Northern Lights to pollinate itself and be harvested early.

After six weeks of revegging, we arrive in the freshly washed Flowering Tent, under a MARS 2 1200 and Mars Reflector 48 X 5 LED.

All of her undergrowth has been trimmed away, leaving only one old stem with two limbs at the top holding all of her branches.

She was desperate to flower and started stretching straight away.

IMG_49737.jpg

Her tallest branches were tied down using soft garden wire attached to her stumps.

IMG_49746.jpg

Some more fanleaves were stripped, but nothing excessive, I could have taken a lot more.

She kept stretching and growing up towards the lights in the first and second weeks of bloom.

Near the end of the second week, I was kind of struggling to keep an even canopy.

IMG_56919.jpg

So I picked up some stiff polypropylene garden netting and laid it over her, with extra length adding some weight to the situation.

IMG_58687.jpg

The netting is cable-tied to the back poles and lends a lot of stability to the Skush

And there she grows.

Thank you Mouser :thanks: Our journey continues from the 1st of May

Still stretching, but not for much longer!

Her buds are beginning to frost up. This bud was the tallest and broke off in my hand, as I tried to bend it over.

Welcome to the 10th of May, the big Cfl was recalled for duty

My solo cup entry is in a period of extended stagnation, the Jack Herer seedlings are doing fine.

On the 11th of May I raised the LED and moved the Cfl to the other side.

The leaves closest to the lights were showing a Magnesium deficiency, which was treated with epsom salts.

Skush seemed happier on the 13th

Jack Herer Seedlings on the 17th, growing well.

Nice work on the re-vegging. I have not done this myself but will tag along here to watch how it goes. Thanks for making such a post, don't see them as often! :)
