I have found for seedlings and clones it is better to use a cheap Chinese 110watt T5 from ebay for under around $40 delivered and use the led for flowering. It has been a lot quicker to root and grow compared to just using led for seedlings. It's has more 6400k white light for root leaf development. Led in flowering is where you see the real benefit.

yea that's exactly what i noticed when i turn on my led's. that the 1 switch(veg) is a mixture of light spectrum's; red, blue, yellow green, white, infrared and UV. which is half of what the actual output is on the light, so not so much blue light is actualy be put on my plants, but the red is best. i was thinking of buying a just veg panel or florescences for the beginning too since so much light/energy is not necessary. il check them out, but this will be the 300 watt all the way through this grow. thanks for your input
