Hey whatsup everyone, great to finally post on the 420 MAG! Been lurkin on here for all the amazing info this community provides so it's time to contribute:thumb: This is my third grow and for this cycle I'm using all new equipment so hopefully there are some good tips out there!

This is gonna be my first journal and i anticipate to document it all the way through so here we go... I'm running a 4x4 tent with a 8'' inline fan on speed control blowing into a XXXL a/c hood and exhausting out the top. There's box fan blowing fresh air from the window into the room and a 6'' inline for intake towards the bottom on speed control. Yeah, it might seem kinda overkill but i got hooked up on the gear so fuck it! :p

Strain: SOHUM SEEDS "Kush It" (Purple Kush x Diesel x Skunk #1 x Cheesel) got em from work, $120 for 12 seeds kinda pricey if you ask me... planting 9, hoping for at least 6.

Soil: Fox Farm Ocean Forest, planting in tiny pots until their roots develop then transplanting them in 5 gals.

Light: 1000 W XXXL , Quantum digital ballast

Fans: 8" 720 CFM & 6'' 435 CFM on speed controls

Temp & RH: Only done tests so far with lights and exhaust running @ 81 - 84F, should be lower with intake and oscillating fans. right?

Nutrients: I'm using the GH 3 part line and trying some new stuff here and there at my local hydro shop.

So yesterday i threw 9 seeds in some warm water in a dark place and now they're starting to come alive! Of these 9 plants i'm hoping for at least 6 females to attempt a first time SCRoG method (still researching). I've been reading and seeing lots of awesome screen grows and it seems like the best way to utilize space and flower potential. What do you guys think? Also, when i plant these in some soil should i stick em right under the MH dimmed to 50% or would that be too intense?

Looking forward to sharing my experience with this crop with all of you and hopefully learn alot along the way, thank you all for reading!

don't know why its uploading sideways but whatev$.. it's been 24 hours after i dropped em in, couple days till these babies go into the soil! I'll get more pics of my setup tomorrow morning its 1 right now lol..

I'm subbed! Good looking seeds, germinated fast! Although I've never personal done a scrog grow with the screen, I've read and seen enough to be able to say it is definitely a good way to utilize all the space. However, it will take longer from start to finish because you'll have to wait for the plants to fill up the screen. And the dimmed MH will work great for starting them out. Good luck!

Yo yo!! thanks for the tips guys, i ended up planting them straight into the FF soil then put em all under a T5 strip with a fresh water. To my knowledge, seedlings don't use light while they are sprouting; just air circulation and warmth (please correct me if I'm wrong). So... i threw in a little heater to kick up the temp to 90F which i think is comfortable to help give some warmth for development... what you guys think? (I can drop or raise temp at any time) What about the humidity is it too low? should i throw a dome over em or will they be cool?

Thanks for all the help in advanced guys this is gonna be a great adventure!
:Namaste:

What i'm fuckin with.

Update Day 5:

Yesterday morning 6/9 seedlings popped through the soil and 1 today (7/9 so far). They are still currently under the t5 for 24hrs of light.

Watered today @ 11:00 pm with 6.6 PH water.

I tried out some SuperThrive today. I've been researching that it is safe on seedlings and read that people have used it with no negative results so I figured I'd give it a try since I had a bottle. I've used it on my last grow and noticed vigorous growth but that was about 4 weeks in. It's pretty much a super strong concentrate of B vitamins and micro nutrients for your plants for multiple purposes. For me, I mixed about a half drop of it in a gallon of water and fed my plants with it. Ill try to snap some picks every official weeks end to document a that full week of growth.

Whatsup all, today is the end of the first week from seed. I planted 9 of them but 1 turned out to be a dud so i'm down to 8 babies now and still hoping for at least 6 females. All are growing pretty healthy so far.. my only concern would be the stems on these plants. As you can see they are all different shades of green to purple. I know that purple stems indicate signs of N def in some cases but..I'm growing a purple kush dominant cut if that has any influence. Hope for some feedback and thanks for joining me!

8 babies and some good night flowers. :thumb:

Subb..lookin good dabmonster. What kind of closure are you puttting them in? Tent or did you build something.

:welcome: brother RockBuddz, thanks for joining! Right now these babies are just in a closet with a T5 slammed on them. My upstairs power (including my grow room) got shorted so it gets fixed i'm using a spare room. They will be thrown in a 4x4 tent in probably another week with a MH and hopefully they start to take off!

Whatsup all, another week in and some more progress to update! I transplanted them into smart pots and threw them in the tent under a dimmed MH. Temp is steady at 77-80 F and 20 - 30% RH. I just got a humidifier that I will throw in at lights on... hopefully it raises significantly. Everything looking green and healthy! I'll snap some pics at lights on to let everyone see whats good.

Day 14 Update:

Transplanted in 5 gal. and placed under 50% MH

Fed with distilled water + (3 drops of Superthrive) (1/4ml of Floralicous Plus)

PH : 6.0

Subscribed, I wouldn't worry about the purple stems dab all my girls had them, and continue to, and they are doing fine. FFOF has plenty of nutes for like the first 21 days or so, did you transplant into the FFOF? I will be using smart pots in my next run, so I definitely want to hang around for this one.
