DannyP's First Grow: Ice Cream Cake - Looking For Any Grow Tips

The exhaust fan is more powerful then all other fans, I think I have too many fans in the tent wich is cAusing the positive pressure. Right now odour is not an issue but soon it will be. I’ll make adjustments when she starts to really stink in there.

What do you guys think about using a second online duct fan as an intake ? Too much or just enough ?

Yes it would, but if crank the exhaust to full power and cut the intake down to 3/4 maybe that would be a perfect balance and eliminate the positive pressure for flowering ?

I think that’s what ill do. I should be ok until I switch to flower. I have another 6” duct fan ready and waiting to be installed. It’s not quite as nice as my exhaust fan, but I guess it doesn’t have to be anyway. Thanks to everyone for all the info !

Welcome. Looks good in there.

Thanks to everyone who chipped in all the helpful information to help me out with my first grow. So far so good. Cut my first clones last night and after a couple days of recovery, I’m ready to flip them all into flower. I woke up this morning to a potentially 40 degree Celsius day today and my power was out In my building. Not sure how long the power will be out for. I guess my question is how long without power to my tent before the plants start to suffer ?

Thanks for the chart. I will definitely study that and get whatever I can afford off that list. Much appreciated
So after reading the chart , I went and picked up the floralicious plus, the diamond nectar and the liquid cool bloom. Also I picked up the floraklean for the flush at the end of the flower cycle. You weren’t kidding about this stuff being expensive. Lol. I’m sure the flowers will be happy though, wich will make it all worth it. Thanks again for the helpful chart. It was perfect

Damn that’s not a small investment u made lol the floralicious plus ain’t cheap, u should have a good run, just don’t do what I did and the first time I used my hydro guard I spilled 2/3 of it:lot-o-toke:

Ya, I’m not cheaping out on anything. I went for the best gear and nutrients that I could afford. I won’t smoke if the buds ain’t proper so if I produce poor quality flowers, then my investment won’t be worth it. My goal is to never have to set foot in a dispensary ever again. Then and only then will my investment be worth it. Also, I’m enjoying this new hobby very much so I see it as money well spent. I’m loving every minute of this

Nice looking set up! Your plants are looking like they love it.
:welcome:
Keep up the great work.

Thanks for the welcome and the links to information. I just started growing and am loving it. I set up a 5x5x7 tent with with a HLG 650R for lighting. Ac/infinity 6” exhaust/charcoal Filter in the top corner ports for exhaust, and two 10 inch honeywell fans In the Bottom corner ports for intake. A small 6 inch clip on fan hanging above the lights cooling the driver. This light is a beast. It almost killed one of the plants when I upgraded from my first light. I have 4 plants growing inside, ice cream cake , gelato , scouts honour and GMO are the strains. I’m feeding with GH flora micro, gro and bloom with a shot of cal mag. I’m correcting the ph from 8 at the tap, to 6.2 ish. Something I just recently started to do. One of my early mistakes. Been vegging them for 5 weeks, just getting ready to switch them to flower as they are getting pretty big. Any tips on products to help the flower process or just stick with the three part from GH ?
I run the three part GH. Been
Thanks for the chart. I will definitely study that and get whatever I can afford off that list. Much appreciated
I run the 3 part GH. Lots of other nutes you can add. I suggest stick with the core (micro, grow, and bloom) for a couple grows. Then add supplements after that. Atleast you will bebable to compare the results and thus judge their worth. Looking real good so far dude. :)

Welcome.

Top and train that shit. And beware the flowering stretch. Plants will roughly double in height or more after you flip to 12 12 .

Two things i wish someone had told me.

Enjoy the forum

I have a couple layers of trellis nets that I’m gonna hang tonight when I get home from work. I was gonna try that out. My next round I’m gonna try my hand at some different training techniques. I’m watching videos from a guy named Kyle Kushman. His chiropractor technique along with lollipopping is what I’m gonna try next time around. I need to study it a bit more before I’m ready to start snapping branches. Lol. Gotta build up the confidence a little first

Just posting some current pics of the flowering cycle. Only 10 days in but I’m noticing the humidity levels rising. Gonna have to install a dehumidifier in the tent I think
