Hey guys, was hoping maybe I could get some harvest advice

Not sure how much longer this kush has. Shes at approx. 8 weeks 12/12. I have tested dried samples and she is quite potent already but I am still noticing new white pistil growth and I was hoping the buds would swell a bit more?

Any opinions appreciated on when she gets the chop

the best thing to determine if and when a plant is done, is to look at the trichomes with a magnifying glass, anywhere from 30x up.

I’m my opinion, she’s close, but could go for another week or so.

The magnifying glasses I have here arent powerful enough to where I can tell for sure what I'm looking at with the trichomes lol

I've tried a few buds off this plant and the buzz is quite lovely already but I'll give her another week to release for couch lock body high type inducing terpenes .

That’s where I like my weed as well. My tolerance is too high, I need that couch lock weed lol.

if you were to take any advice from me, I would suggest buying yourself one. They are one of the most utilized tools in our repertoire that we use. There not awfully expensive either.
This is the one I have. I used this one for many grows before buying a digital 1000x microscope. The down fall of the other one is it’s hard to stay steady enough to get a good view of the trichs. But it is do able!

Welp I've decided at 9 weeks into flower its chop time for my first purple kush plant, I probably couldve let her go another week to get the crystals more amber as they're mostly appearing milky but my stash is depleted and I'm far too excited

I was hoping to get atleast 4 oz. dried , so we shall see after I let them hang for a week then I'll move them to curing jars.

I chopped about 2 or 3 branches in the week prior to my finally harvest of the purple kush to test potency but that included all together I got a little over 2 ounces from this one plant. I was hoping for a higher yield with 2 months of veg time before 12/12 and additions of nutrients throughout the whole cycle. If anything I'd say it was my choice of cheap blurples for my first grow.
What do you guys think?

....disappointments in size of yield aside, the quality of the bud is phenomenal.

Buds have a pungent but not overpowering earthy and slightly spicy kush odor and flavor. It's a pleasure to smoke, tastes delicious, and the buzz is immediately calming and euphoric with nice body relaxation settling in a little later on.

This purple kush still has maybe 30 days left but I vegged her for a month longer than her sister so I'll see how that affects the final yield of this one.

I'll cure them in these ball jars. I let the jars breathe for about 30min a day. The bud is already fantastic but from what I understand it's supposed to get better over the weeks with curing this way . I'm a happy camper!

Interesting enough, I found seeds in my finished plants. I have used only feminized seeds which I found pretty interesting. I did some research and some folks said it was impossible to get seeds without pollination from a male plant and some said stress could induce seed production. I only found a few but they are beauties

From what Ive read random male flowers in female flowers will create female only seeds but they may have a higher likelihood of being hermies. I didn't see any male flowers in my first grow but actually hope I do find a seed or two in the redhair pheno.

Update:

Still got about 1-2 weeks of flower left . Noticing some crispy leaves like I did with my last plant but slightly earlier time-wise so I raised the light a little and gave her a good rinse of straight water.
