So, what could I do to make my journal more appealing? I clearly lost followers.

Congrats Chronic, and well done. I don't think people intentionally fell off. Members get lots of threads and if they don't stay updated on your thread they do not get anymore notifications. A good trick I use is to tag a member that may have given you advice earlier. So if you are having concerns or issues mention the name of someone you know, such as @ChronicKid007 and people will respond.
You look like you ran a good journal so it had nothing to do with you personally, well done and good luck on your next grow!
