Goldylox's First Grow 3x3 1000W LED DWC

Closing out 2017 on some good notes. 2 Female plants, the one in the Scrog will continue to flower and be harvested. I will be then moving the 3x3 tent into the new grow room (12x12) to serve as a chamber for the mother plant(s). Partitioning off a 5x12 area that will be a 4x4 flower and 4x8 veg area in attempt at a perpetual grow. I ordered and received a bunch of new beans from New420guy seeds White Widow, Glue Cookies, Fire Glue, Sour 60 autos, G13 Haze, Lemon Skunk, Skywalker Kush, and Pauls Purple Fire- 4 of which soaked for 24 hours and have been in paper towels for about 12 now. 2x Glue Cookies, 1x G13 Haze, 1x Pauls Purple Fire.
Seed in the ground (Oct 23)
Transplant to DWC Nov 3rd- Day 1 Veg
12/12 Flip Dec 15
First signs of flower Dec 24th
Day 1 Flower Dec 25th
We have 9" of stretch so far
2nd lady growing like a pancake, short and fat. Fan leaves are huge on this one.

Figured I'd come up in here and finally get a good update. Have a lot going on with the grow situation. Finally got the ol lady to give me the green light to turn the spare room into my new perpetual room! I started framing up the walls. It will be a "stealth" type of grow room. The room is 12x9 overall, I am walling off an 8x9 area for my grow space and putting a sliding mirror as the entrance into the room. What used to be a bedroom will now look like a large storage area or small office. there is a 3x6 walk in closet that will be the new veg room, and i have 2 4x5 flowering chambers, and the remaining open space has a shelf for all my nutes and equipment. Since I would like to do the perpetual route and would like to stay hydro of some sort, i've settled on doing Hempy style growing. It has showed much promise is rooting my clones so far. Here's some pics of what is set up thus far.

The 2nd girl i have setup in the future (yet still temporary) veg closet is growing bushier every day. It seems to be "self topping" I have only topped it once and defoliaged it quite a bit, but it seems to be growing out in forks, interesting to say the least!
Now for my main project. She got about 20" of stretch in which i ended up having to bed most of them over to keep level with the others. I was also semi unhappy with the elcheapo LED as it did not have much penetration, as noted by the terrible node spacing. I build a 500w CFL fixture with a bunch of extra stuff and a couple bulbs i got on clearance at lowes. Its all 2700k roughly 2100w equivilent.

Thanks! I'm happy so far with it being my first grow, made some mistakes along the way but I've learned a lot. I'm not sure what to expect for the yield, but I'd be happy with anything close to an ounce

Well the time has come. Overall I'm happy with the result wet weights of bud/trim are 610g of well trimmed bud and 155g of trim and larf. Wish I had gotten to fill the scrog out with the other plant but hey, that's how it goes sometimes. 200w of led for veg and 500w of cfl to finish in a 3x3 for my first time I'm excited.Will report back with dry weight in a couple days, looks like a quarter pound if I had to guess.

Maybe strain specific, but I was really hoping by the end of reading this journal I would find some fat nuggies on those 6 main stalks. It seems like you mostly got dense popcorn buds? Not that that's a bad thing by any means, I was just surprised to see the tops not really thicken up as much.
