Ok, so...I have two too good s*** to Amnesia Express, five gallons fabric pots, soil, nearing harvest, been giving one of them, the most yellow stringy one 1.56 *4 Mega Crop per gallon. However I dont have a hundreths, so I get to 6.3 and do my best from there. Same with the 1.46*4 per gallon for the more christmas tree looking plants. I get to 5.9, and do my best.
Then I take PH by sight in a little old-school test tube thing and check the color. Interesting, it is absolutely spot on when I test. Left water in tube for a day. The water was a very different color. Evaporation?
In the early stages I tested the water for pH adjusted the water for pH and then added the nutrients. I don't know if that caused theyellowing or not. But I've since gone to testing ph after mixing the Mega Crop.
Anyway, the yellowing isnt improving it does not appear to me. I have amber tricomes on each plant ranging from maybe single digit percent to 15-20 percent maybe on one.
Not sure how to proceed.

Thanks

They look like they need some nutrients to me, I personally don't have any experience with MegaCrop so hopefully someone more versed in using it will chime in. I agree with Emilya, make sure you're looking at each plant like it's the only one you have growing, even if it's the exact same strain as another. I think they look pretty good for the most part.

If I check the tricomes with the 30x I notice very little amber, but switch to the 60 and I see lots more.

Thoughts? How do I best manage that discrepency? Also, should I assume that different parts of the plants turn amber at different rates or is that pretty much uniform?

Thanks again

I’m just now jumping in so I might be missing something but when you check the trichomes with the scope are you making sure your checking the bud calyx and not the sugar leaves? Sugar leaves turn amber much sooner then the bud.. but if your buds are 80-90% milky and 10-20% amber then you’re ready for harvest. The plants look great by the way. :thumb:

Dont I WANT to suck the moisture out? Isn't that the point?

not as fast as that system would be able to do. If you leave the fans going, you will dry that stuff out in about two days, and 3 days would probably be too much. It would be very hard to pick the exact time to pull it out of there before it was dried beyond the ability to get a cure, but it can happen fast in the typical air exchange set up with a good carbon filter and extractor fan. I strongly suggest turning on the extractor fan for 5 minutes, every 30 minutes, and let your crop get a much calmer slow dry. Try to extend it out to at least 5 days... 7 would be better, and then go to jars with a much more stable and easily cured product.

Can I just leave it off then?
