I was wondering if anybody knew any recipes or something for some home-made fertilizer with like random kitchen crap or something. I dont exactly have 30 bucks to spend on a quart of fert from a store so yeah.

Give us a quick breakdown on what type of growing you intend on doing. Homedepot has some affordable stuff for some types of growing.

hail

you indoor or out? Soil, hydro? Bag seed or mail order?

you can get OC+ for under $15, will grow you many plants.
I got Dymanite red at HD for $4 on discontinued rack
Peters 20-20-20 for $5 at Big Lots (other stuff there cheap too)
Miracle Gro and Schults are cheap and not as bad as people say. My friends plants are very lush and frosty using MG.

read up on some compost tea. if you have a pile of compost, it might work for you.

I realize money is tight these days, but what are you gonna do if you need some mite spray, or a new bulb, tester or something? and you don't have the cash to save a crop?

Any buds you can trust wanna share your venture?

Compost all the way! Just start a compost pile with all your food scraps and add some horse manure.

Compost Tea can always be made from it as Hash Hound said, and you can easily and cheaply make Garrett Juice out of the compost tea. Google it for the recipe.

You can also add blackstrap molasses to your soil mix to feed the microorganism flora that help convert nitrogen and phosphorus into usable forms for your plants. add 2oz to one gal water. Molasses is like 3 bucks at a box store.

Please follow these directions carefully:
Fill your empty reservoir 75% full with clean, hot water. Multiply the above gram weigths of each specific salt by however many gallons your reservoir holds as these ratios are based upon making only one gallon of nutrient solution. Dissolve each salt, one at a time - make sure each salt dissolves entirely before adding the next.
WARNING: These elemental salts are extremely reactive in their native states - use eye protection when handling them and avoid contact with skin. Follow the directions given to you by the supplier. Avoid using inaccurate "kitchen" type scales - your crop is worth it.

Is eggshell powder any good ive heard of people using or milk?
lioking to make some homemade nutes for my vegg cycle. any input would be appreciated guys..

I was thinking about milk today.

pH of 6.5 but to much fat.

Maybe skimmed milk.

You can dissolve eggshels in acetic acid (vinegar)

Skimmed milk yougurt has beneficial bacteria.

Google lactic acid for plants.

Bananaskins and broccli contain potassium

Google Vermicompost

Just some thoughts for you.

:Namaste:

molasses feeds the fungi and bacteria in the soil,

but it's not really a fertiliser. it has beneficial minerals and whatnot,

but it should be used sparingly all the way through.

stir a knifetips worth into a cup of hot water , dissolve the molases,

add cold water and mix with your watering solution.

I use worm casts from my lawn, water and filter crud from the fishtanks..

In soil that is.. Also a small amount of wood ash will provide micro nutes aswell..

Heres my latest feed mix ( aquarium gravel hoover crud )

And a pic of the casts plus a pic of my green lady at 3 weeks from sprouting
