How much room do you use for your grow

I have a 4x4 tent so 16 sq.ft. reservoir for watering is a 5 gallon bucket and a small space for nutes. last grow netted me 20 ounces which will easily last my wife and I a year. Started a 2nd grow and wife says you still have more than half of what you grew. Why do it now. Says growing in winter is easier as it has to do with heat and cold environments for the plants. Told her I can wait till summer if she is OK with me running AC in the tent or I can use a small space heater for when lights shut off.
