How to Make New Contacts?

Word, search about parties for the right crowd, although parties i go to there are rarely smokers apart from myself and mates, illpays are more common.

Otherwise, just go to skate parks.

Live Music!!! 'specially durin' summertime.

but i do live in seattle. ymmv.

just go with your gut feeling if they look like there into the green just talk to them and let them make the first step that is what i did green house

Lol, dude, you just gotta learn what to look for. Stereotyping is bad, but you can use it to your advantage to find people that look like stoners. Its a great way to make friends too honestly. You can sort of just tell when some one smokes anyway.

I agree that it is really difficult when you move to a new town to find help. It took me 6 months in portland, when luckily a classmate brought it up, but I never would have guessed...Now I moved to the Yakima Valley, and I find myself in the same situation, despite both these cities being growing havens...It just feels really awkward asking strangers for illegal help, I guess.

Pizza Delivery Guy !

Order from the same local place a few times, tip well, and next thing you know... pizza delivery guy feels comfortable with you. Pizza delivery guys always seem to have the hookup. Or know / work with someone who does.

Munchies, pizza with an extra topping on the side, and a happy tipping customer - it's all good. haha.

I generally say something like "Do you party?" . If they ask with a smile "Party?..Like how? " I come back with "Like smoke weed" .

Bumper sticker : I may be slow but I'm a head !

I moved to a new area towards the middle of 2008. I like it and all, but I haven't been able to meet cool people who have similar smoking interests. I'm sure there is green floating around. I just haven't met the right people yet.

So, I have a question for the community: When you move to a new city, how do you make new contacts?

Surely you don't go up to random people and ask... do you? Seems like a good way to get arrested.

:peace: :passitleft:

If you want chicken shit go find some chickens,,,,your local head shop, concerts, parties. One time I took a trip to Montreal when it was particularly dry and only had a piece of hash the size of my finger nail. I made the mistake of leaving the thing on top of the tv in the hotel room where the maid promptly relieved us of it! Since asking people for pot is not an offence I guy hooked me up within a block of the hotel. On the same trip on the way home my friend noticed a guy in the truck next to us hauling away and made the old puffing sign of two fingers to the lips with a sorry ass look on her face and he pulled right over and gave us some too!
REMEMBER THAT YOU GET ABOLUTELY NOTHING OUT OF LIFE UNLESS YOU ASK FOR IT!NOTHING!:peacetwo:

I say walk around a big city and listen to the people around you...I walk around the city all the time and hear people talking about weed..2-3 times a week...actually today on my way home I was walking and a girl and Guy were passing and she was saying "I think we should get stoned and do that" and as they passed and i said its always a good idea to get stoned and kept walking he turned asked huh and I repeated. He asked if I had herb...but alas I am out atm. So we said cool and kept moving. This all took place in under 1 min.

The do you smoke is a good one..works 100% of the time if they're comfortable with you or think you do. When you go to ask have a flag on(anything with green yellow and red on it)

A little late on this thread but here's my 2cents. I have worked in the past in the restaurant industry and have always had friends who are still in the industry becoming chef's etc. There is ALWAYS dope to be found around a kitchen - it just kind of goes hand in hand with cooks, the lifestyle of the restaurant / bar crowd. They finish their shifts at 2AM, what else is there to do? And generally restaurants employ my kind of people : those who work to live rather than live to work. These are generally happy, 420-friendly, people! (Disclaimer, I also live in BC, Canada, practically everyone here tokes in some capacity) :D

I'm always amazed by the people who smoke weed that you thought never did.As we retire we come back out of hiding reality is that we had good memories of the 60's & 70's.Not the 30 years after.

I,ve thought about that. The bartender at a jazz club I sometimes go to smokes cig. Think it would be cool to just be blunt and ask right out if he has any smoke?

I watched an interview with Courtney Love who at one time was heavy into the drug scene and traveling. What she would do when she was in a city with no contacts would be to contact an escort service and ask for the ugliest woman they had. According to Love, the ugliest hooker would always have drug contacts. Just saying....
