HPS250, 150/80/50, Soil, LST, 12/12, Organic

Good day everyone!

I am new to growing cannabis. However, home gardening has been a part of my life for a year now.

Idea of growing cannabis came to me around 2 years ago after I saw 2 movies. 1st was The Union: the business behind getting high and right after that the 2nd The culture high. They changed my view of cannabis and I felt it might help me in my boring gray life.

However, circumstances would not allow me to start until now.

Let's get into it.

Seeds were ordered at Canadian seed lab. I saw 2 grow reports with their strains. They looked great and i thought genetics should be stable as they do not have that many strain updates.

I bought and use a typical closet for growing. Effective space is around 150/80/50cm or 5/2.6/1.6 foot.

Light I have 600w HPS kit set to 250w. I had idea of buying a bigger closet when i was ordering this kit. However, it was a mistake.
Ventilation I use Soler&Palau 100CZ (95 cubic meter per hour). The reasons I bought so weak vent are money shortage and it's silence.
Soil is a mix of 65% Greenworld soil

10% citrus soil and 25% perlite+vermiculite
Pots 5l/1.3gallon buckets from a toolshop
Fertilizer BioBizz bio-grow for veg and bio-bloom for flowering to the end.
Conditionstemperatures 24-26 at night and 33-38 during the day. 12 hours night 12 hours light due to circumstances.

There is also 1 pot with russian noname seeds and 1 pot with vegetables

Plants are now at their 12th day. Photos of yesterday.

A little bit about treatment.

The last to waterings were with fertilizer. The last one was 0,5ml/0,5l into each pot.

Pots are considerably transparent. I know it is not reccomended, however, i think it won't make a lot of harm.

Anyway, I am able to see roots development. To date they have not reached the bottom. They are like 2/3. When I see they reach the bottom I will start 1l waterings each pot (which are 5l). Is this optimal amounts of watering? What do you think?

December 22 post (2 days ago).

I continue to stretch my plants (yes, horribly wrong). The last time I watered them was yesterday. 1l each bucket with 2ml/l bio-grow. Nothing came from the bottom of the buckets. It seems that water reached half of depth. Probably next time they dry out i will go with 2l of water each.

I don't know if I like how the Trainwreck looks. Leaves look like indica leaves and the strain is positioned as sativa coctail. I am a bit worried about my little grow space though.

Generally my conditions do not change in any way (temp, hum, etc). I expect stable growth in the same manner.

Quick question. Till what moment do I stretch? Do I continue on flowering or should I stop at the very beginning.

Just had a date with my female friends. They are in their 20 day.

Gave around 2l of water with 2.5-2.8ml/l BioBizz Bio-grow.

No signs of flowering. I will start BioBizz Bio-bloom soon. Not for Trainwreck though. Will keep it on bio-grow.

Have some concerns about my space. Buckets with vegetables and russian seeds may be terminated.

This is a 10 days difference (10 days v 20 days)

There is really nothing to report. Buckets have not dried out since last watering 5 days ago. I think they will be ready in 2 days.

I am prepared to give my autos (lambsbread, royal canadian haze, doubla jack) biobizz bio-bloom 1ml/l + bio-grow 1ml/l next watering.

Do you thing I should use clean water once in a while?

For autos veg 22 days flowering 3 days

I stopped training autos. For trainwreck veg will continue. I am stretching her circle wise.

Still don't care about humidity, ph or ppm. Have no equip to measure and not interested to buy. Plants are on cruise control and look good if not happy.

Day 29. Flowering 7 days (autos). Trainwreck is in its preflower (main cola only).

Keeping doing bio-grow and bio-bloom according to the producer's table.

Everything seems smooth. Can't really tell you anything guys) Just some photos (not Trainwreck, no changes+forgot to take them)

Continuing my boring journal.

Day 34. Flowering for autos 12 days.
All the same. I don't care PH/R/ppm/Temp etc.Grows ok. Not sure about flowering. Seems to be retarded. Watering 5ml/2l bio grow+bio bloom.

Odor is fantastic. Filter kills 100% at this stage of flowering.

What is your filter set up?

From one of the pictures, it looks like you are drawing air from the closet, through the light fixture, and then to a box on the ceiling which I assume is your filter.

I'm thinking of a closet grow, but smell is BIG factor me.

Hello Danolo.

You are correct. On the ceiling there a chamber with a carbon filter. I have 95 cubic vent and 250 or so cubic filter.
Temperature is 30-31 when light is on. It was up to 38 before, prob coz of ballast. But after re-attaching the lamp it went down to 30.

Anyway, closet grow is fine. I use closet because I live with my parents in this is kind of a 'stealth' option for me. It's completely isolated (smell, lights). You only hear vent.

Total 38 days. Flowering 16 days.

Nothing changes. Just a few "sunburns" as HPS was 10-15 cm away. Plants are drying out some leaves at the bottom. 2-5 each plant.

Last watering was 5ml/2l bio grow + 5ml/2l bio bloom

I still don't measure T/R/Ph/ppm. Seems to be unneccessary.

What can I say? I have some boring journal action going on =) Some photos.

Day 48. Flowering 26 days.

I buckbuilt 3-4 colas on 2 plants. Will see what I get at the end of the cycle.

I give them 2.5ml/l big-bloom and 1.5ml/l bio-grow. Not going to use more until I see any deficiency. Moreover, I saw few leaves with barely burnt edges, so I guess using 4ml/l according to producer's table would be too much.

Took off ~10 leaves from tops of each plant to increase light penetration.

Day 53. Flowering 31

Today was just watering w/o ferts 2l each plant as the tips of my plants are burning a bit. Next watering is planned to be w/o fert as well.

Buds are not growing to my eye. This is sad. May be it is because I took off few leaves on plants to increase light penetration.

SMELL
Odor is very sweet. Some with notes of fruits and some with notes of pastry. Smell is very arousing. Not cannabis alike though.

I will try to distinguish particular flavour after harvest and sorting them.

That's it. May be i should use some other ferts to increase my buds?
Last 3-5 times i was doing 2-2.5ml/l bloom+grow each plant (2 l each).

Quick update
Day 60 (yesterday) FLOWERING DAY 38

Going to harvest Lambsbread next weekend. Today I am flushing the ferts out. This is the color when i start flush O and this when i ended O.
Will let her dry till next Saturday.
I don't have microscope, but all the stigmas are dried already. Few spots with fresh flowers popping.

Did not gain any wait since last week, to my eye. This is probably less than 20 grams plant.

Plant smells like a man perfume. Heavy and chemical.
Cut a bud for a test. Going to test tomorrow.

Also, I took off most of leaves. I feel it should have been done on week 2 to 3.

Surprisingly, plants are maturing in accordance with CSL info. Because stigmas on Royal Canadian Haze are still white (6-7 week of flowering set) and Lambsbred and Double Jack (5-6 weeks set) have stigmas dried out.
