My first grow, Advice welcome/also need help

Picture 1 is of them all today which is 24 days old from when they broke the surface of the cubes.
grow_1.JPEG

As you can see the lowrider on the right is the iffy one on the right and now i have put a stick in there to support it a little. The fan will be on 16/8 as will the light, Just started nutes today and recomended dosage was 7ml per 1ltr so i have gone to 3ml = 1ltr to start with and see how that goes with them still only been young.
Picture 2 is of the Skunk 1 plant which has blossomed (i think) (dont know why there is no 420 logon on this)

Picture 3 is of the stem on the lowrder 2, this will be supported now though.

Couple of questions please if anyone has time.

1. Are the plants the right height for been 24 days old ?
2. The 9 week start - finnish for the lowriders should end them on the 1st of Feb, they look very small for there age.?
3. Should i raise the light to make them strech more ?

so i am tempted to put a stick in to hod him upright ? (advice welcome?)
I would not. I let my plants come on strong even if they have some long legs in the beginining. They tend to right themselves as they grow.
Are the plants the right height for been 24 days old ?
Plants vary according to Genetic makeup and environmental conditions. Yes, they are at the right height for what they are.
Should i raise the light to make them strech more ?
Your choice on this one. However rasing the light too much loses lumens going to your plants.
My rule of thumb for a 1000W I use is. 18"-22" from top of plants.Fans blowing over the tops to circulate the cooler air. Intake is blowing fresh outdoor air thru the lower part of the room.

Hi everyone, been a while since i posted an update, Just changed the lighting system as the cost was getting a little to much do i have opted for 5x 23w CFL's.
Plants seem to be doing and are now at 41 days old. The lowriders dont seem to be very big at all considering they should be ready the first week of Febuary, They do not even have buds starting yet so something has gone a miss and i am slightly behind with them.
The skunk 1 plant has some stem on it and the branches are really starting to come out now and they are all quite large as you can see from the pictures.
I think i kind of stunted there growth with the MH light been to low and as soon as i changed and raised it they started shooting up a lot quicker.
With them been so low to the soil some of the skunk 1 plants leaves have touched the soil and curled and turned brown from the nutes.
Just uped the dose to full strength today although they didnt need watering. Fan is doing a great job although there is not as much heat comming from the new light system.

Couple of questions if anyone has time,
I plan to take cuttings of the Skunk 1 and the two mixed seeds and then grow them on and keep these as mothers, how long should i wait before taking cuttings?

The lowriders are not very big at all although the bent one from the last pictures seems to be doing better than the smaller one. They have definitly not flowered and dont look like flowering. any advice for me to introduce them to flower?

One of the mixed seed plants has forever got like a drip of of water comming from the stem in diffrent places. never heard or read about this so was unsure.
As i only bought femail seeds i hope i dont have to worry about any males been in there.

new set up as it stands.

I love this plant

mcbudz made some good points. the soil should be a little "crispy" on the top before you even think about watering them again. during the early stages the roots are only slightly in the ground, and as any plant does, the root system searches for water when the soil is dryer, so if all of the soil is moist the root system will get its nutrients and water, but will not grow as fast. danger of drowning a young seedling is more risky when moistening the whole soil bed. 6-7 drops of water should be good per plant every 4-5 days. this is a rule i went by when growing last year. i am a new member so pictures and such will be uploaded i just stumbled upon your questions in the time being.

good luck!

Thanks for the replies. I find it quite mad seeing 4 diffrent types of plants growing all at once as they all have diffrent personalitys kind of thing. Shape/ branch structure etc.

Some pictures missing from the last post so hear is the skunk1 plant.

I plan to get 2 cuttings from this skunk 1 plant to be grown outdoors at a lake i fish. Think they would really blossom outdoors. will grow them inside first to give them a little height.

when do you think i could take some cuttings of her ?

As i only bought femail seeds i hope i dont have to worry about any males been in there.
Female seeds bought, will and can produce males. Please remember that only 99.9% "advertised as" Female seeds is the best anyone could ask for, any genetic specialist trying to emulate a XX can only be 99.9% at best to achieve that. An XY maker make up is still in all seeds.

when do you think i could take some cuttings of her
These have some ways to go yet to clone effectively if you have not taken cutting before.

Hi, sorry for the late reply and update, works a little hectic.

Photos of the set up now. The lowriders should have started to flower and be done by now but they are no where near and its been 11 weeks almost. I have stuck the lowrders under the proper light now and left the CFL's deal with the others.
They have been under the big light for 2 days and i have noticed a diffrence with them already.

The mixed seed plants seem to be doing well although there is yellow up the top of the plants, im guessing that it is growth as its light green/yellow. a few of the plants showed this.
The Skunk one plant is something else, so many branches and so many leaves its mental.

Never done any cuttings so from the pictures i have posted how long and which and where could i think about taking cuttings, All new to this cutting thing and willing for advice.
Set up as it is now with the low riders under the other light.

Anyone know why the leaves are folding on some of them?
Is this yellow normal? Good or bad?

Yeah, maybe either u are overfertilizing them, some kind of deficiency or too much heat.what is your nute strength, temp & r/h,NPK ratios? you did say you were feeding full strength nutes did'nt you? i'm no expert by any stretch, but that's what it looks like to me.They could even be showing early signs of possible rootbind.

Thanks for the replies. I dont think it is overferts as i am still feeding them half strength nutes, 3ml (not 7ml) to 1ltr of water. (well the growing plants) the flowering lowriders are on Bloom now and half strength.

Temps are a little low due to it been in the attic and its quite cold in wales LOL.

I am a swine for water and when i put water on them i put around 50-70ml each time which is around every 4-6 days.

The pots are 3gal if not 5gal as we use them to hold 3kg of product in work. I can get bigger ones no problem if you think they should be in bigger pots.

Thanks for the replys

upped the dose of nutes and they are getting there colour back already, Thanks :thanks:

The 2 lowriders are also now been given full strength bloom and are 5 days into budding, Some stench up there now.
I will get some pictures up tomorrow, having to support the tallest lowrider as its starting to bend with the weight of the buds on the top.
Its supprising how much has started already and they dont half smell good:cheer:

How did this grow turn out?
