Congrats on the bountiful harvest bro!!! Things are looking damn frosty in your house, I am jealous for the aroma you must have in your house!!

Thank you kind sir :thumb: So far this is the most trichome producing plant we've grown, keen to try her photo counter-part. Haha they are in a cupboard so not that much wafting through the house but when you open that door.....BOOM hits you in the face with the pine berry smell followed by her lemon tones, quite a pleasant terpene profile i must say :thanks:

Interesting, the Kosher was showing early veg, then the G13 dominated the later veg into flower and back came the kosher dominant expression through flower. The purple is almost absent though which makes the name of the strain confusing. Bud structure is very G13 with Kosher calyx and G13 fox tailing. Assuming most Spanish breeders work with Canadian purple, I wonder if the potency sacrifice is worth the taste when G13 has such a valuable potency and sweetness to begin with. They should just cross it again to a Haze and rename it.

Bro i'm so happy you posted that, i have no idea about the strains that they crossed to create the GPK. How early would a normal purple strain take to show the color? It has been quite warm in the tent so that would be a huge factor. Is the kosher or G13 strains good for potency/taste/yield? Even though they have crossed it with a purple strain (unknown) It may still have more of the G13 and Kosher qualities since you've said its showing more of those quality's?

Damn man.. looks like a lot of frost on those buds. Amazing work!

And for what it's worth, I was able to buy a thermometer/hygrometer combination in the old style (glass tube thermometer, metal coil hygrometer) for about $4 USD at a local retail store

She is the frostiest plant for us so far, so keen to try her :thumb: Ahhhhh brooooo you just reminded me we have one of those already! Damn i'm an idiot lol, stoner life i guess haha:volcano-smiley: Thanks for the reminder though :)

Nice haul brutha! :thumb:

I'm the kind of friend that shows up in your journal right at harvest time with an empty bowl. =D

Bah-ha-ha-ha! :smokin:

Gets the laughing going though :goodjob: Can't wait to see if the GPK reaches the expected yield and the berry ryder smells insane now her smell isn't being mixed with the blue kush, so excited for the next month

If you get low in temperature, stems in these varieties will darken to a magenta even as seedlings. Regardless of heat if something is branded as purple I would think the color would express regardless of heat stress. Of the two, G13 is a better taste, but I don't think it can compete with the flavor of Kosher dominating which is an acquired taste; think eucalyptus/musk-incense/orange furniture polish e.g., terpenes myrcene/caryophyllene/cineole/eucalyptol. G13 is the yielder, but somewhat of an older skunk strain which seems to lose some of its size attributes in modern crosses and poly-hybrids. Kosher is a documented low-yielding kush with a unique taste, personally it reminds me of old-school kush tones which contemporary smokers might find odd or even harsh. Breeders should look at its terpene profile if they are able in order to find a suitable flavor profile which can meet and co-exist with the dominant notes of kosher.

Tennessee Purple Kush from Cannaventure Seeds is a good example even if they admit its purple berry aspect isn't expressive, it does however show the Alien Kush coloration slightly which attests its inclusion of the LVPK. Point being its labelled Purple as a strain and tends to show true, regardless you can't go wrong with the Hog in it.

It did show signs of purple at the start of her life when she had her first true leaves. I just had a look again at what its supposed to look like and it seems to be the flowers/trichomes are purple not the leaves, this is my first purple strain i'm growing but i don't really mind if it doesn't happen as long as yield/potency/taste is there its allll good :) Mmmm that sounds kind of about right, she has a citrus/pungent smell with a little bitterness at the end of inhaling. From what i can tell (even though i haven't tried the strains individually) this one will be a winner, she smells nice and strong guessing that would be the mixed aroma profiles of the crossed strains, growing big and lush so the yield shouldddd be good from the G13 genetics. Only shame is they don't mention the purple strain involved but lets just be patient and see if we get some color and the yield/stength described by the breeders :thumb:

Photo update :) We gave the GPK a 3 day flush to stop nutrient burn and re-started feed tonight. Everything is looking good :thumb:
