If you have a pair of binoculars or a rifle scope laying around you can use those to check trichomes. Just look through them backwards n put the eyepiece right up to the plant.....voila .....microscope

Do I have to remove it from the rifle???

I grew a Pineapple Chunk a while ago. It was like my 3rd plant and I harvested her when she looked about like yours because I got impatient and I regretted it. It was subpar smoke. You can get a USB microscope on Amazon for about $25 and you can get in as close as you want. Just do it with your grow lights off and the scope LED turned down because the bright light will make the clear trichomes look cloudy. Here is a pic

Well wheres the fun in that? But seriously, dont try to use your rifle! If you have binoculars or a scope (not mounted to rifle) laying around they work very well! I use s digital microscope for pictures but never owned a loupe, just old pair of binos in the flower room.
