I hate saying this but the net may give them a great place to hang out on. Spiders would love it as well so upkeep will be important. I wish I could think of something to increase air flow in that area but I cant, that would help a ton with bugs. Start as early as possible with bugs and it will be easier to manage. Plant things they hate around it and provide a crappy environment for them to encourage them to go to the neighbors yard instead.
